Access to The Old Waverley requires climbing 27 steps to our first floor reception area. If you arrive with luggage there is a bell to call a porter to assist you.

Posizione eccezionale con vista stupenda sulla Old Town.

Cons:

Camera molto calda e polverosa. Andrebbero lavate le finestre esterne per consentire una vista ancora migliore.

Das Zimmer das wir hatten war ohne Fenster und sehr alt ubd entsprach überhaupt nicht den Bildern. Für üver 200 Pfubd hätte ich was anderes erwartet. Ja die Lage ist super ubd wenn man ein Zimmer mit Fenster zur Prices Street hat wäre alles sehr gut aber nicht die Abstellkammer

Very much ok, suggest a new left and a more elaborate breakfast.
Pros:

Location and the hotel in general were very much ok.

Cons:

We expected a breakfast with some more choice of bread and more, and it was bad that the lift did not work most of the time. We were on the 6th floor, so quite a climb each time we had to go up.

Best rooms with views
Pros:

The location was perfect. Easy walk to Royal Mile and restaurants around Saint Andrews Square. Although there are some steps, someone at the hotel will assist you with luggage. The breakfast is good and the room with the castle view is awesome. Everyone is very helpful.

Centric but noisy.

Location is unbeatable

Cons:

Pillows were uncomfortable, room was hot and noisy. The window opened to a small patio with pigeons trapped under a net and several air conditioning machines and wooden structures. The noise was constant and the window could not be fully opened for fear of the pigeons flying into the room, or someone walking in. The elevator broke for a full day, and being on a 6th floor it made coming to rest at the hotel quite challenging. There are some steps anyway that need to be accounted for regardless of the elevator working, in order to get to reception.

Great location
Pros:

We had a two night stay in a junior suite so disappointed the room was an odd shape only had one tiny window that would not stay open ( no air con ) had to prop it up !
We could not get the shower to go warm/ cold stayed hot plus was over bath with no handles to hold .
Bed was comfortable room was clean .
A lot of noise from outside due to building work .
Also one whole floor was being refurbished so had noise from that too .
Breakfast was ok buffet.
Lot of stairs to get in hotel to reception area plus a tiny lift to other rooms .
Prices for room were expensive but great location.

If you like classic hotels, don’t miss this one.
Pros:

Very classic hotel with good location. It was not in my plan to stay at the property but it’s due to my cancelled booking at close by hotel with no solid reason!

Cons:

Although I have booked the room at last minute (may be its weekend almost fully booked) but unfortunately there was No refrigerator No A/C. Luckily the fan we have it the second night it was a big help.

Pros:

Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos en el Old Waverly Hotel. Su ubicación y un trato excelente por parte del personal así como unas instalaciones magníficas harán que vuelva a repetir este hotel en un próximo viaje a Edimburgo.
