Las habitaciones algo chicas para el precio
Okay Rusacks, you absolutely did not miss!
We started our first morning at The Bridge and what a way to wake up. We were seated in the most adorable little nook overlooking the 18th green and it was genuinely one of those moments where you just stop and soak it all in. The food and service were phenomenal and honestly the most magical breakfast setting I've ever experienced.
Then dinner at Rao's that evening. We got the best seat in the house right by the window and the whole space is just chef's kiss. Gorgeous decor, amazing photos on the walls, and such a cool atmosphere. But those meatballs... top 5 meatballs I've had in my life. No notes. Service was absolutely phenomenal.
We closed out the trip at 18 Rooftop for drinks and apps on our last night. The views were insane and the vibes were even better. The perfect ending to an unforgettable stay.
Rusacks, we'll be back!
Good
It was ok
I experienced my first British Open at Birkdale then followed that with St Andrews. We stayed behind the Rusacks hotel on Golf Pl. Seamus set the ladies up for brunch at The Bridge the first morning overlooking the 18th hole. I ordered the avocado toast with fried eggs. It was absolutely delicious! The service was also incredible.
Next I want to highlight, that evening we went to Raos, the pop up summer spot on the ground floor of the Rusacks. In NYC, it is near impossible to snag a reservation but here we had a beautiful table. I would 10/10 recommend getting the meatballs and chopped salad! Matthew was super attentive recommending drinks as well as dishes.
Our last evening we had reservations at another place in town but we were told to check out the rooftop called the 18th. Without reservations we popped at the bar and ordered a few snacks and drinks. The oysters were huge and delicious as well as the sticky chicken and the rolls, of course!
Seamus was nothing short of making us feel welcomed and appreciated. Next visit, and there will be a next visit, dinner reservations at the 18th and the hotel stay will have to happen! Cannot wait to see how lovely the rooms are.
Thank you St. Andrews for a wonderful first trip!
Beautiful location, exceptional staff, wonderful heritage
Dined with friends in 18 at Russacks a few days ago and was amazed to be welcomed in by the General Manager of the hotel Seamus Coen. We were looked after by Bronwyn who was outstanding and the food and atmosphere was superb. Many pictures taken of a beautiful sunset which made the evening complete. Thank you 18 and Russacks
We Recently stayed in the Townhouse at the hotel for my wife's 40th Birthday celebrations and we were wowed by it. it has everything you could ever need for a family get together. Seamus and the Team had it prepared to perfection for our arrival with Birthday balloons, welcome drinks and a cracking Charcuterie Board.
we had Dinner booked at 18 rooftop restaurant we also had a private area on the balcony area reserved for pre dinner celebration drinks. Our meal was amazing as it always is anytime I visit but a big shout out to the servers and waiting staff who looked after us the whole time.
breakfast every morning was 1st class as ever with the whole family getting looked after with nothing too much hassle.
a massive shout out and thanks to Seamus and his whole team who helped make my wife's 40th celebrations truly 1 to remember for the whole family.
we loved every minute and can't wait to go back asap.
truly the best hotel experience we have had in the St Andrews area and one we won't forget.
thanks guys for everything
regards
Gavin
We visited the Russacks hotel on the occasion of a joint 60/70 family birthday, firstly at the Bridge Hotel where the food across the company had very mixed reviews from Very good, Good to very poor.. when the very poor was reported to the waiting staff .. it was met with no response from the kitchen… Despite this our party decided to take advantage of the exceptional position of the roof top bar … unfortunately if we thought the service in the restaurant was average… we had not seen anything yet to compare with which can only be described as the worst bar service from an individual I have ever experienced ….step forward JJ.. you take this award .i am still astounded at how rude, ill mannered, arrogant and how whilst being completely unaware of these traits you somehow assume you possess any skills to complement your prestigious environment… Simply Russacks a five star location does not deserve the one star treatment you are providing
Outstanding hotel with top notch service. All staff, concierge, front desk, bellman, and restaurant were always eager to help. I never waited more than 30 seconds without someone asking, “Can I help?” The room was lovely with decor that matched the town. Great view of the Old Course and lovely rooftop bar/restaurant. Hats off to The Bridge restaurant staff who out did all other places which was hard since everyone was great. The Bridge provided consistent five star service and kindness. Thank you to the exceptional team at The Rusacks.
Breakfast was excellent
Hard to adjust room temperature
Beautiful location
Finding bedroom very dusty, and bedcover covered in grubby. Mahogany headboard greasy.
Rusacks is very well located next to The Old Course and a 10 minute walk into the town centre. The West Sands beach is a similar distance in the opposite direction. The building has a lot of character and is very well appointed with a lot of character both in the original part and more recent restaurant additions. Our two rooms were very different, one being fairly small and dark, the other, a corner room, a lot larger and brighter, overlooking the street at the front. Although this second one was a free upgrade. Really comfortable beds in both though. We dined in two restaurants in the hotel and the food was excellent in both cases, with the rooftop 18 Restaurant being particularly memorable for the excellent tomahawk steak and sorbets. Breakfast was excellent too, with a wider than usual choice on the menu, and was served at the table rather than being a buffet. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, Lauren and Kelsey being the two names we did get, but all were exceptional and clearly tried hard to deliver service appropriate to the surroundings and overall quality. Our dog was made to feel very welcome and was able to dine with us in one part of the hotel, which was a great bonus. Lastly, free parking was easy to find on the street behind the hotel.
The lift was very slow to appear, the stairs were usually quicker. We would have preferred a choice of biscuits and/or shortbread rather than the Tunnocks Tea cakes supplied on the hospitality tray. But that's about it.

Locations & views
Excellent position. Very good staff. Extremely comfortable hotel.
We think room service should go on later than 10pm. We had arranged pizzas from the Bridge for 9pm but were delayed on the Old Course and were told the kitchen closed at 9. As it happened we got in just before 10pm and managed to get a pizza before room service closed for the night
Stunning views, great rooms, superb staff — The professionalism from Harris and Nelly was outstanding.
The food was unsatisfactory — it didn’t seem locally sourced, only time I’ve had digestion issues in Scotland.
The rooftop bar had no local beer or drinks.
Breakfast was served at table - NOT buffet style. I prefer table service.
Everything was first class.
Superb location, well appointed and spotless rooms, and great dining. Worth the price.
