Friendly and welcoming when I got there. Close to town
Location - handy to our scheduled meeting venue. Proximity to Shopping - warehouse etc. Room was fine, comfortable...heating was good.
Staff lacked good communication skills. Poor comms for laundry use in the household booklet...no reference to laundry when locked required to have room key to show staff before gaining access. Required to return to room to retrieve the key and then needed to have the necessary and correct coins card to operate the machines...we decided to go to a laundromat in the city.
I booked through booking.com got charged with my visa debit card when i arrived i was told my visa debit card wasnt a credit card and couldnt have my hotel room ive been charged $120 for this room so bit of a scam hotel so book elsewhere if your visiting napier.
Just to add to this i stayed at this hotel last year and used my debit card abd wasnt a problem but heard its changed hands since then
Room was clean and comfortable. Location was quite good for my trip.
Very poor wifi connection. Covered swimming pool but was not heated. So on a cloudy day its very cold to get in to pool.
Staff were super helpful and friendly.the family room is spacious and fully equipped

Carparking bad not enough parks Indoor Swimming pool cold not heated. Beware if you dont have a credit card - a few people got caught out including us. Had to pay a $200 cash bond per room x 2 an refunded once we checked out on top of that had to pay for the rooms, we booked thru booking. com. Never had that done before so won't be back to stay, scroll thru there website its there

Loved the location, great to be able to walk to the center for dinner etc and the park across the road.
The shower was a nice big size and had great pressure.
The room was quite small, the bed was too small and soft, not comfortable pillows. There were ants in the kitchen (not heaps) and the kettle was broken so we used the microwave. It was quite noisy, both from outside (not their fault, the Deco train and loud cars etc.) and we were also right on the end by the stairs so we heard every person coming up and down all night. The shower was good except when other people were using it. I had a shower in the afternoon and it was lovely and hot by my husband had a shower in the morning and said it was not hot, cool but not ice cold. I guess he missed out on the hot water. Didn't use any of the facilities, they don't have electric car charger available and the carpark is pretty hard to get in and out of if you don't have a tiny car.
