Expected the breakfast to be included in the cost of the room
The sinks stopper was not working. The stopper stayed in the closed function. Water didn’t drain.
The coffee pot in the room did not work. It would turn on but shut off without brewing.
I liked the flavored water they had at the front desk for guests.
I wish they had free breakfast.
Location
There were. Cockroaches everywhere, dead and alive. In the hallways, the elevators, the room. I left with my luggage infested and didn’t sleep a wink.
They over booked and changed the room I paid for with a lower room. The staff refused to correct the substitution or change the charges.
Very disappointing stay. We only stayed one night, but it was one problem after another.
Our experience started with check-in. We arrived around 4:00 p.m., expecting our room to be ready since check-in starts at 3:00 p.m. Our friends had already received a notification before 3:00 p.m. that their room was ready, but we never received one. When we asked the front desk, we were told it would only be about 5 minutes, but we ended up waiting approximately 1.5 hours before we were finally able to get into our room.
Once we got to Room 428, we found that the window shade was stuck down and couldn’t be opened, leaving us with no natural light or outside view.
The biggest issue happened that night. Around 12:00 a.m., after my husband took a shower, we discovered that the tub was completely clogged. The water would not drain and remained standing in the tub. Since it was already late and we were exhausted, I reported the issue through the Hilton app instead of going down to the front desk.
At 7:00 a.m., I went to the front desk to follow up because the shower was still clogged and three more people in our group still needed to shower before checkout. We asked if there was another room where we could shower, but we were told there were no rooms available. We were also informed that maintenance wouldn’t be able to check the shower until 10:00–11:00 a.m., but we had to leave by 10:30 a.m., so that wasn’t a practical solution.
We paid for a room expecting basic amenities to work properly. Instead, we dealt with a long check-in delay, a broken window shade, and a clogged shower that couldn’t be fixed before we had to leave. It was incredibly frustrating, especially since three people in our group were unable to shower before checking out.
The front desk staff was polite when we reported the issues, but unfortunately that didn’t change the outcome. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I expected much better from a Hilton property.
The hotel is a little dated and could have been a bit cleaner. While the room was spacious, ours had a connecting room and you could hear everything and I mean everything in the room next door. The room on the other side of ours was loud as well but with kids jumping, tossing a ball at the wall, and running back and forth until after midnight…the walls are VERY thin. Had issues with the AC, couldn’t keep the fan running or a steady temperature. Overall, this was just an OK hotel.
Our king room with a sofa was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel has a convenient location directly across from the outlets. Overall, it was a good stay, but the AC had no option to keep the fan running continuously, and we also found a dirty towel in the room. Nothing disastrous, but there is some room for improvement.
If you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, be sure to check out the dining experience for a great Happy Hour. And when you are there, be sure to ask for Lynne. A very personable server who represents the Hilton brand very well. The food for HH was great too!
Did not eat breakfast because I had to leave early
It was clean and comfy. Staff was very friendly.
The breakfast wasn't great. Included with my room, but for $17.95 a person, I expected better out of a warm breakfast buffet. Maybe the menu items are better.
