Clean and spacious
Pros:

Very clean hotel with professional service. Our room was very spacious with nice towels. The rooms have a microwave, refrigerator and a Keurig. The fridge was warm, and they replaced it within an hour! We would stay here again.

We would stay again
Pros:

We made a last-minute booking here for one night due to a cancelled afternoon flight out of MCO.

The shuttle only took two minutes to pick us up from the airport and upon arrival at the hotel we received a wonderfully cheery and welcoming hello from Sandra. The shuttle driver was also extremely helpful.

Our room was bright and clean — though this was the first time I’d seen wooden floors at a HGI!

I used my F&B credit at the small hotel market, which I don’t usually do … but when we tried to have a meal at the onsite restaurant, the staff completely ignored us … so we stood up and walked out (and purchased expensive chocolate bars instead, lol).

Some other cons (though we would consider staying here again): old thin towels, the fridge froze our vegetables overnight, the bathroom door is see-through such that light shines through into the bedroom all night, the toilet is soooo low to the ground!

I had an overall pleasant stay, but there were a couple of disappointing experiences that I think future guests should be aware of.

One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because it advertised an airport shuttle. When I asked to use the service, I was told it was already full and that they couldn’t accommodate us. Unfortunately, no one had informed me that reservations were required, and no alternative transportation options were offered. Had I known in advance, I would have reserved our spots. It was disappointing because this amenity played a significant role in my decision to book this hotel.

Another aspect I found uncomfortable was the room layout. The mirror faced directly toward the bed, making it awkward to get dressed. Because the bed was positioned so close to the mirror, I couldn’t comfortably use it to see my full outfit without feeling exposed. A different placement or a separate dressing mirror would make the room much more functional.

The staff was courteous, but I hope the hotel improves communication about shuttle reservations and considers small room layout changes that would make guests more comfortable.
