Choice with dinner menu could be much better - deserts very poor.
Breakfast, however was very good, especially with gluten free
The house, grounds and public rooms were lovely.
Our booking.com upgrade didn’t really apply, the basic rooms were very basic. We paid extra for an upgrade and our room was really lovely and we were happy.

Love the location and the building
We ate at the well house in the evening and it was shockingly bad! There was hardly any food to choose from as it was a limited menu. But when you were told what was left on the menu you had to try and order before some else did as there was only 1 thing left of certain item. I was so shocked! Surely if there is limited options open the bar for the evening. Rather then letting residents fight to get food

The staff were very attentive to our requirements and fully aware of the reason for our visit. The attention to detail in the rooms is excellent, as is the welcoming feeling you get on arrival.

Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Very much enjoyed our meal at the Wellhouse restaurant.
We both found the bed too extremely firm, so we didn’t sleep the best.
Our room was warm due to there being no air con, but staff did put fans in our room ahead of our arrival which we appreciated and helped a lot.
Beautiful building & very friendly staff. Also really appreciated the crisps and water in the room.
Windows in our room were very much needing a fresh coat of paint (Beech room)
