The views in the pool were wonderful highly recommend. Also location is a bit on the beaten path making it super relaxing.
For the cost of our stay the rooms are nothing special. The beds weren’t that comfortable and the rooms are fairly basic.
The one thing we really enjoyed here was the adults only pool. Everything else was a flop. From speaking to the staff this hotel was bought out by corporate year and it’s really gone down hill since.
I booked this as a weekend trip to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. I paid for a King balcony room and upon arrival, since booking with Booking.com they placed us in a double queen garden room. I expressed my displeasure and the manager offered a bottle of champagne but nothing else. My husband went to the desk and then expressed professionally this is unacceptable and they then switched us to a king room without a working tv.. to which it took maintenance 3 hours to fix. They did not apologize for the way they previously treated me. The stay itself was mediocre. It’s very evident they are lacking staff everywhere. There are empty glasses everywhere, trash and the grounds are not kept up like previously. The waterfalls are not working properly, staff that are working are chatting and not tending to guests. Upon coming back to the gate we were waived through without asking for our name and security was pretty lazy all around. Nonetheless, it’s obvious that the leadership here is in obvious disarray and after many attempts to address it they failed.
The location and facilities are great
The staff and amenities were sub-par for my visit
Relaxed, friendly service, clean, quality of food and drinks
Nothing
Perfect location
Not much.
Everything close by
Strangers looking surprised we were there.
A short ride from the airport you are transported to a resort unlike any other I have encountered in all of Texas. Displaying mission revival architecture mixed in with undeniable texas charm, like a portrait of a stallion in the lobby, the resort is as much a hotel as a castle, with nooks and cranny’s worth finding as well as plenty of seating outdoors with fire pits and indoor comfort alike.
My room was well appointed with a coffee machine and a fridge, and nice luxurious touches throughout, especially in the bathroom. the bed was firm yet comfortable with lots of pillows.
All in all it was not cheap, but then again, nothing that’s worth having ever is. I hope I get the chance to visit again because there was so very much more to see.
The staff at Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort truly went above and beyond to make our Girls Trip extra special. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and eager to help. I went with my two daughters to celebrate a special occasion and we were upgraded to the Villas and greeted with a very thoughtful card, as well as a charcuterie board, chocolate covered strawberries , and wine. We were not able to take advantage of the beautiful pools and outside areas due to rain, which was so disappointing because they looked absolutely wonderful. From check in, to housekeeping, to the spa and the restaurants, every staff member we encountered took care of everything we needed with an amazing level of service. Even the crummy weather couldn't put a damper on our trip when we were so well taken care of. Make sure to visit the Signature for Sunday Brunch and Sweetwater for great food and outstanding service. Can't wait to return when the sun is shining!
