Good value for money, if a bit warm
Pros:

Good location - plenty of options to eat out. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

No evening meals except pizza, and there was only one non-vegetarian option available (only a minor complaint). The room was very hot, despite the weather being a mild 22degrees. Charged £8 parking.

Characterful central hotel, great value
Pros:

Very good breakfast, good coffee. Welcoming staff, all friendly and helpful. Loved the original features and history of the hotel.
Comfortable room, all spotless.

Cons:

Bathroom in need of refurbishment, though clean, plenty of hot water, peeling paint on bath panel.

Outside appearance and the reception are very off putting .First impression is the place is deserted and unkempt.But the room was very clean and bright with every thing you needed .

Only good thing was the staff

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly

Cons:

There was no access to things like a microwave or a fridge and the windows didnt open properly we had to move rooms because of the toilet being cracked all the way through, when we did move rooms the smell was horrid and the bed was so uncomfortable on top of all of that during the night it was so loud that we had checked out the night before we were meant to because we could not get any sleep whatsoever.
