We loved the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were also very comfy. The renovation of the rooms were nice. The front desk staff were pleasant but not overly eager to greet us.
When we arrived in the evening we were not able to enter the lobby and nobody seemed to be on duty. We spent a good 20-25 minutes waiting on the sidewalk before someone finally answered the speaker call button. We were there for medical reasons and appointments with doctors, diagnostic procedures and other medical treatments. We booked a wheelchair accessible room & bathroom. We were unable to secure a room for our needs because apparently none were available. However, one of the front desk employees tried to help improve our stay by upgrading our room for the second night. Again though, the new 2nd bathroom lacked any safety grab bars whatsoever in the shower, tub and the toilet area. Unfortunately, we were unable to shower until the final morning of our stay since we had to improvise on our own by purchasing a shower chair and portable grab bars for the walk in shower. The 2 night stay was a salty $1500 and unfortunately we were frustrated and feeling less than whole. And not until checkout were we given information regarding discounted stays offered for medical stays with NW Hospital affiliated patients.
Room was very comfortable. Bed Was exceptional. Shower was great.
Check in staff was rude and dismissive shows very little desire to help with even simple requests. Valet was useless, and misrepresented parking fees ($59 when I was told $30), which when asked about the charge, the front desk said valet was a third-party contractor and they had no say of what they charged. Again, dismissive!

So many stains and untidy
Excellent staff, comfortable room, great location! I was able to walk to restaurants. Catering for our meeting was delicious. I really liked the little extras in the meeting space that felt accommodating to all!
Hyatt always provides us with comfortable rooms and excellent service. One thing I particularly appreciate about this property is its convenient location. It’s close to shopping areas, the Chicago River, and numerous restaurants in the city. The hotel also has a Starbucks on the first floor and a Walgreens just across the street. While the service is generally good, it can sometimes be slow. Restaurant and bars is nice and they do have a very nice buffet for breakfast.
We visited Chicago from the suburbs for a long weekend with friends and the Hyatt family as a great place to stay. Big rooms, convenient location & good energy in the hotel common area.
If you need overnight accommodations due to being at Northwestern, I highly recommend you checking out this Hyatt. The staff is super accommodating, provides a special rate for NW patients, has a bridge that connects to the hospital. No need to go outside and so easy to move between facilities. Large, clean rooms, close to Michigan Ave as well as a host of restaurants so also great choice for vacationers.
This is one of my go to hotels whenever i visit Chicago. Ms Andrea at reception, from day one and every visit since greets me by name upon arrival and genuinely makes me at homes. The rooms are always clean, housekeeping polite and thorough and bathrooms have plenty of counter space and room. The restaurant has a good breakfast especially. Bar is small but very capable. Location right by mag mile and lots of eating places. Excellent service everytime, worth every penny.
You cannot beat the location. Everything is just outside the door and if you need any suggestions the concierge and bell staff no it ALL!

Poor soundproofing. We stayed in a quite high level but could still hear the ambulance sirens from the street, loud and clear.
We stayed in a Queen room at Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile for 4 nights while my daughter had brain surgery. It was so convenient for the family being connected to the hospital. Everyone is so caring and it made our stress much easier knowing if we left we were still close by. We have stayed at this hotel for previous hospital stays and I highly recommend this hotel for pleasure stay and for sure hospital stays. Also close to everything you might need.
