Room size was good especially the bathroom.
Check-in was quick and smooth, the rooms were very comfortable and quiet, and we had a beautiful view of the Bay from our room.
I would especially like to mention the exceptionally friendly staff and the high level of service at breakfast. The breakfasts themselves were also excellent — tasty, varied, and a great way to start the day.
The only minor issue was that the water pressure in the bathroom sink in our room was rather weak. The shower pressure, however, was excellent.
Clean and stag was very friendly
Close to a lot of shops and restaurants. Also very close to Chinatown.
I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 or noon. When I went to the front desk to check in, the gentlemen who I talked to told me that because everything was full, I would not be able to check in to my room until 4 o’clock. If I wanted an earlier check-in, he asked for $50 to “ move things along”. I was frankly appalled by this negotiation, however, I was glad that I was at least able to leave my bags with the doorman while I explored San Francisco for the first time. I was out long enough that I could get back to my hotel room around 4 o’clock to check in, however, it would’ve been nice to check in at a more reasonable timeframe.
