Pros:

La habitación era bastante amplia y cómoda. La ubicación del hotel es excelente, porque está cerca a pie de todos los lugares turísticos. La zona tiene cafés, tiendas, droguerías y restaurantes excelentes.

Cons:

Entra muchísima luz a través de la puerta y es difícil graduar el aire acondicionado. El personal podría ser un poco más amable, la señorita que nos recibió era bastante tosca para hablar, nos sentimos regañados un par de veces. En una de las habitaciones el sonido del tranvía sonaba bastante duro desde muy temprano, lo que a veces interrumpía el sueño.

All in all was ok. In comparison to other Hotels in the area the price was great & thankfully the staff was so frien

Wonderful location and aesthetic.
Staff were very friendly & helpful!

No pool nor hot tub
Double bed room & it was SMALL
Leaking sink
Crazy loud drain In the bath tub
Annnnnd roaches - HUGE.
One In Our room and 1 on the main floor close to restroom. They must have been twins because they were BOTH HUMONGOUS!

The Silversmith is a perfect place to stay in Chicago!
Pros:

First, shout out to Beverly and Susan for showing excellent hospitality. This is our third stay at The Silversmith Hotel. It is outstanding! We love the staff, the rooms, the location and the price. We will be back for our fourth stay. We have found Chicago to be a friendly city!

My room is very close to train track I know it is difficult to fix this part perhaps the better insulation may help to cut back the noise level ? The staffers are sort of hit or miss part of overall experience. For example the first one whom I contacted over the phone, I asked her for advice, she just simply said she was a front desk person she had no idea how to deal with temporary parking to allow me to check in and transfer my bags and belongings to the room. At least it would be nice to ask around to get some info or to connect me to valet parking person to get more info otherwise I got no help at all. But others were super nice and they were very helpful.

Estadía perfecta
Pros:

Todo el personal fue muy amable, desde los de recepción, de bar y de limpieza. Tiene una de las mejores ubicaciones que se pueden encontrar en la ciudad. A menos de una cuadra hay restaurantes, parques, tiendas de ropa, un Target, una estación del metro y sitios históricos. La habitación recibía un increíble servicio de limpieza cada dos días y proporcionaban más en caso de solicitarlo. Me dieron bebidas de cortesía. La cama y las almohadas eran muy cómodas. El baño estaba limpio, el agua de la regadera tenía buena presión y buena temperatura. Me sentí segura todo el tiempo. Definitivamente lo recomiendo y me volveré a hospedar aquí cuando regrese a la ciudad.

Cons:

Le hacían falta focos en el techo, ya que no había suficiente iluminación a la hora de querer estudiar en la madrugada.

Amazing staff
Pros:

We had an amazing stay at the Silversmith Hotel in downtown Chicago. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make it an enjoyable experience. Beverly was so nice, helpful and funny. She is definitely a gem. Enrique the bellman, was also so pleasant and was there in a blink to help whenever needed with a smile every time. Renee the bartender was also great. She made the best cocktails and was also super friendly. Kristopher the front door manager was efficient in fixing a billing problem that occurred for us as well. It was our first time in Chicago and we would definitely stay there again when we come back. Kudos to the amazing staff that you have at your hotel!
