We stayed here 8 years ago, and not much has changed, though the rooms have been refreshed. Our room was clean, though rather small. Worst featyre was the absence of chairs! 2 round stools were provided, though there was really nowhere to sit on them.
Airconditioning good.
Breakfast was OK, but it would have been nice if there had been more variety.
Bar service was poor: often the bafrman had other duties and was absent, this resulted in long waits.
Overall, pleasant enough.

The hotel is a lovely, with a slightly genteel but absolutely not snobbish feel. It feels a bit like stepping back in time but everything is well maintained and very pleasant. There is a nice little bar in the lobby, and a quiet pool, beside a nice walled garden for a drink or lunch. The pool is a little overlooked by neighbouring residential buildings and their residents’ balconies, but that doesn’t interfere with the enjoyment. The pool was the perfect temperature - cool enough to get relief on a baking hot day but not so cold you takes ages to slide in. I would definitely go again!
It would have been nice to be allowed to bring a drink (in non breakable containers) to the pool, but that is quibbling.

The gym: very basic and small.
Very nice decor, accommodations and great staff
Bathroom toiletry items could have been better. There was only a combo shower gel /shampoo in the shower, which was harsh on my hair and no conditioner and I had to find a pharmacy to purchase my own. These things are very inexpensive and I really appreciate them as would most women staying in a hotel of this quality.

Clean, really well located and very nice staff. We had a nice weekend! Definitely recommend.
The cocktails weren’t great and it was a shame that you couldn’t have a drink by the pool.

Room large. Beds comfortable. Shower good-but care with slippery! Small safe in room. Plenty of storage. Bar well-stocked. Breakfast okay, but could have done with wider choice of fresh fruit. Pool and garden used by us. Location ideal for the town the trams and the rail station. Free bottle of water provided daily, but sadly, no fridge to cool them.
