Cons:

Double bed was too narrow (140cm) and you had to ask to get two separate duvets. This is a problem in every single hotel in Ireland.

Pros:

Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und man kann das Auto auf dem hoteleigenen Parkplatz parkieren. Das Frühstück ist frisch und gut. Ich würde wieder dorthin gehen.

Great resting place on our vacation
Pros:

Room was quiet. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Dinner is the bar was fantastic.

Cons:

The bathroom floors were very slippery. Shower/tub was also slippery. They have signs up but be very careful.

Pros:

The food at both the on-site pub/bar and the breakfast restaurant was not great. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the main area of Killarney.

Pros:

Andres from reception was very welcoming and friendly. I found the other staff to be completely checked out or openly rude

The bed itself was extremely comfortable, as was also the bedding.

Cons:

Disorganisation moving rooms after I checked. My door key stopped working multiple times and so I had to return from the other side of the building multiple times. Windows and grout work is dirty in the rooms. The hotel is a maze with long corridors and you hear everything, each day would be woken 2-3 times before I got up. Arrived at the spa and asked the staff what I needed to know and they just shrugged and pointed at the ladies changing room. The other attendant talked at the top of his voice, play reels at volume on his phone, which the other guest then also did, allowing people to walk into the sauna pool area in their outdoor shoes. The leisure centre is super rundown. Steam room stained, jacuzzi tiling moulding, missing and the grates full of black mold. The hallways of the hotel smell strongly of chlorine which makes me wonder how sanitary the water is or whether they „compensate“ chemically.

I ordered take away from the same place and the night porter turn up at my bedroom, saying the place I ordered from tried calling me and also the hotel tried calling me (I have no missed calls from either and had received calls from this deliverer two days prior for a different order and also a missed call on the first day from the hotel regarding the room change), so this seemed very strange indeed.

Considering I booked a property way out of town to not be above a pub, I was concerned when I arrived to hear loud speakers calling out bingo and party music in my room. When I asked how long it would go on for and whether it would be possible to be in a quieter room (which thankfully the correct room was), rather than simply lay out the options/solutions - I was then debated over whether it was „really that loud“.

And a bathtub with the plug removed? 🤷🏻‍♀️

One or two things I’d forget but it was pretty galling to pay such a chunk of money for such a poor experience.

Perfect for our quick pop into the Kilarney area!
Pros:

Perfect I’m Kilarney town location !! On the busy Main Street but close to all the restaurants etc! If you want to stay in a comfortable clean place and explore the area this is a wonderful option! The pool and hot tub and sauna was a great add for our family !

Impressive
Pros:

Very good facilities. The price was very good, too good for the service that we received. I would however suggest on installing bar fridges in the rooms for refreshments. The weather was a little bit hot and we could have benefited from cold water in the room. Overall, we were impressed by the whole experience and we would use the hotel again without hesitation.

Great value. an enjoyable stay
Pros:

Very happy with my stay. The Delux Super King room was modern, tastefully appointed, clean and very comfortable.
I arrived before the 3pm check-in time and reception went above and beyond to get the room ready which was much appreciated.
The hotel is 15 minutes walk to Killarney town and maybe 20 minutes to the National Park 🏞️ so really well located. I walked lots and left the car in the complementary car park.
I used the pool which is small but clean and would be ideal for kids but it worked for me too. The jacuzzi was bliss after all my walking. The steam room was perfect and I noticed a sauna but didn’t try it.
After all that activity I was hungry and had a great burger in the bar and a glass of Guinness to wash it down. The staff were great and I enjoyed my food and drinks.
The bed was very comfy and had a great nights sleep. Check was friendly and efficient in the morning.
All in all I would highly recommend the Parkavon as a good value short stay location in Killarney.

Pros:

Super goede ligging t.o.v. de stad. Fietsverhuur op loopafstand. Prima zwembad met sauna. Gezellig sportcafè, waar je prima kunt eten.
