Grace Hotel is great for a short stay
Pros:

The shower is great, the beds are very comfortable and having the free mini bar is wonderful, great lighting in the room and mirrors, not all hotels have this correct

Cons:

The holding deposit is too much and we had trouble getting it back, it was not acceptable. The room service food was not up to standard. Ordered twice, twice cold.

For a business trip it was ok
Pros:

Rooms were great. Had difficulty with ChromeCast.

Cons:

Pool was freezing, the decking area was extremely run down and probably unsafe. The sauna and steam rooms were not clean. They appeared unmaintained. I think a lot can be done for relatively a low budget.

Pros:

Location, staff and the atmosphere of the hotel itself.

Cons:

I have stayed at the Grace about 8 or more occasions the past 2 years.
I’ve always booked the deluxe rooms or been upgraded on special occasions.
But this visit the room seemed completely different.
TV not mounted on wall but on a flimsy stand.
No reading chair in the corner as the room was too small to accommodate one and a really odd layout that felt small and not spacious as my other rooms booked. It was room 819.
I did check in later than I usually would and may have been given what was left on that Saturday night but
Unfortunately after that experience I don’t think I’ll risk booking again
I could have asked reception but I was too tired to bother and we had a dinner booking not long after I checked in. So just had to suck it up.
