Location , Nicolas the concierge is excellent do helpful and pleasant .
The BREAKFAST !!! The copthorne really needs to improve the eggs .. scrambled eggs are terrible and the fried eggs are only half cooked !! There are No gluten free or dairy free options for coeliac or people with intolerance.. soya milk etc isn’t enough ! When asked if anything was available I was told no ..
Good vfm. Recommend. Decent location. Decent rooms, esp in the higher floors. The stars rating under values this hotel.

Good location and good access to shops and transportation. Staff are nice.
Not clean. The rooms are outdated. Although we requested cleaning, sheets weren’t changed until we left a note. There were still trash sometimes, and not properly vacuumed. We stayed for 2 weeks and it was manageable, but cleanliness must be improved. We also experienced rats entering the hotel lobby, which is not acceptable.

Location was just perfect! Close to the trains, buses, restaurants, shopping etc.

One morning I did feel I needed to ask for the very loud music to be turned down during breakfast.
We couldn't hear when chatting at breakfast.
They were happy to lower the volume however probably just need to be mindful that not everyone likes deafening noise.
Maybe your hotel is due for a refurbishment/update.

Prime location spot!
This hotel is very run down and out of date. Normally I wouldn't leave a review at all, because for the price and location, you are getting what you pay for. However the customer service left a very bad taste for me. From checking in, the staff are trying to add on extra sales, asking you to pay to upgrade. Asking you to join their membership program in order to get what I consider basic amenities. I asked to purchase 1 breakfast coupon, for my 3 night stay, at check in I was almost charged for 2 breakfasts. Then the day before leaving, I received an email to do an online checkout, which told me I had a balance owing for 2 more breakfasts. I spoke to reception and management about this, and told it was resolved. At checkout the next morning, I was told I had no outstanding balance, and then my credit card was immediately charged for the 2 breakfasts. So I again had to explain the issue a second time to another receptionist and another manager. My card was eventually refunded, but the whole experience was very disappointing.

Hotel is very aged
We were upgraded to the beautiful Royal Tara suite on our arrival. Absolutely delighted. Reception was efficient and friendly, left luggage was quick and staff were most helpful. We are frequent guests and this hotel is perfect for location and comfort.

The property is very dated and the rooms reflect this. The fridge is annoyingly loud in the room. The shower essentially was hanging off the wall. The wardrobe door was broken. There were two lights not working. Overall very dated and needs a facelift.
