Value for the money
Pros:

In a short sentence I can say, from the check-in till the check-out we were treated well by the hotel staffs which is expected from any 5-star rated place. The staff's where so helpful, the cleaners did great job in keeping the room fresh and neat. The breakfast was of top notch quality. Overall we are content with the experience we had with Altis Grand hotel and would highly recommend this place.

Cons:

Nothing to call out explicitly as we didn't experience anything which we wanted the staffs to pay attention to.

Wonderful place to host a meeting - Staff is incredible!
Pros:

My company recently held a 3 day meeting here in May. The venue was fantastic. The front desk was very easy to deal with an accommodating for all attendees. I can't say enough about the event staff. Working with Claudia and Raquel is a must. They met with us weekly before the event to plan all details. Additionally, they were able to assist in recommending evening restaurants as well as securing and arranging all of our transportation details for the week for our group of 150. Onsite their execution was flawless. Whatever we needed was delivered in a timely manner and they were constantly checking in on us to make sure everything was running properly. The rooms were also very nice and clean and the view of the city from our upstairs meeting space was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel and this great team!

Perfect location and a great welcome
Pros:

Altis Grand is a great location, situated only a short distance from the older parts of Lisbon which can get really congested. Avenida is a lovely stroll and away from the Centre it leads to the Parque and excellent shopping. I had a very friendly welcome and throughout my stay I found all the staff helpful and charming. The 12th Floor Rooftop bar has amazing views and is very relaxing at night for late night drink. I had an issue with the shower in my room which was adequately fixed. The room itself was large and comfortable. Super service. Accommodation is reasonably priced. Having been to Lisbon several times and tried at least a half-dozen hotels, the Altis Grand will be the one I return to.

Pros:

An iconic hotel that is sadly well past its prime
Pros:

This hotel is well past its prime. While it is rated as a five-star establishment, the extremely dated rooms, decor, and facilities make you wonder if local licensing authorities are still living in 1973 when the property first opened. The location is merely okay; while it is a short walk to Avenida da Liberdade, it sits quite far from the main tourist hubs.

Our stay was plagued by room and service issues from the very beginning. Upon arrival, we were met by stifling heat due to a broken air conditioning system that ultimately required a reset of the entire hotel’s cooling network. The room itself was small, dark, and lacked a balcony. Furthermore, despite paying for a king-sized bed, we were given a queen, and the bathroom suffered from zero ventilation alongside low water pressure that amounted to a mere trickle. To make matters worse, the entire building lost power on our second-to-last night, cutting off the Wi-Fi, the elevators, and our only phone line to guest services. This major outage was never properly acknowledged by the morning checkout staff, who dismissed it as a routine occurrence and offered absolutely no compensation.

The hotel's amenities and dining options offered little relief. The G Spa was a massive disappointment, featuring a small pool and jacuzzi alongside an odd policy forcing guests to wear swim caps. We avoided the hotel restaurants entirely due to absurdly overpriced menus, such as a €24 breakfast per person that can easily be beaten in both price and quality for two people at Simpli Coffee just up the street. Even the complimentary evening cocktails provided by the bar were terrible. The only highlight was when staff brought a complementary slice of cake and a bottle of champagne to our room to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. Ultimately this was a highly disappointing experience that left us wishing we had stayed at the Altis Avenida down the street instead.

An iconic hotel that is sadly well past its prime
Pros:

The staff were most friendly, attentive, and professional. There was a nice touch when they brought a piece of cake and a bottle of champagne on the house for my girlfriend's birthday.
