Lovely hotel; choice you room wisely!
Pros:

Lovely seafront location and walking distance to Funchal. Breakfast amazing. Lovely pools.

Cons:

The city side rooms are not quiet and a night club noise until the early hours was disturbing despite being allocated at top floor room.

I think bars/pub doesn’t do the Hotel justice and need to be more classy!

Pros:

Gostamos da localização, das várias piscinas e do pequeno almoço.

Cons:

Não gostei da limpeza dos quartos.
Não gostei da falta de formação de certos empregados. A pior situação foi ao chamar um táxi. A 1 min da porta do hotel há uma paragem de táxis e o rapaz que lá estava a trabalhar no hotel ofereceu-se para chamar o motorista. Assim que entramos, o rapaz, mal encarado, pergunta ao motorista: vais-me dar alguma coisa ou não? E o motorista respondeu que não, educadamente. O rapaz olha para ele e diz-lhe num assobio e com um gesto “então poe-te andar’’. Acho que o que mais nos chocou foi a agressividade com que o miúdo falou com o motorista, bastante mais velho e muito querido.

Pros:

We had a great stay at Pestana Carlton Madeira! The hotel has an excellent location, close to the city center and the marina. There are also bus stops nearby, making it easy to get around using public transport.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel offers four swimming pools, two indoor and two outdoor, as well as direct access to the ocean, which is a great bonus.

Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of food to choose from, including scrambled eggs, sausages, fresh fruit, and a variety of sweet options.

The staff were friendly, caring, and always willing to help, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madeira!

Cons:

The free parking is a bit complicated but doable if you are a good driver. But I have seen many people struggling with it and making it difficult for the other people already parked.

Pros:

The hotel had a great location, and the rooms were nice and comfortable. The entire hotel area was clean and well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool and the surrounding pool areas. The food at the hotel was also very good. We also appreciated how well we were treated by the staff during check-out, which was a lovely way to end our stay.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our first impression of the hotel was not particularly welcoming. When we arrived, there was a staff shift change, and the older gentleman who greeted us was rather abrupt. As first-time guests, we had hoped for a more welcoming experience.

Our room was quite noisy, both in the mornings due to the nearby breakfast area and in the evenings. The breakfast area itself was often chaotic and could have been better organized.

We also experienced an unpleasant incident with housekeeping. After our room had been cleaned one day, we found that some of our clothes, which we had left in the bathroom, had been placed in the bidet next to the toilet.

Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was quite poor.
