Very good location, right by the river and within sight of the Castle.
Our bed was quite firm. The room was in a strange courtyard with views of other walls of the hotel. When the 4 bins were emptied at around 7am the noise they made was extremely loud in our room and very unwelcome after a late night.
Perfectly perfect
Nil
staff and bar breakfast good
good location
room very small and bed very uncomfortable
It’s a stunning property I had booked a year in advance for Ascot. The only issue we had was we were In the annex across the road I would have liked to be in the main hotel.
Nothing it was lovely and in a super location
Very good location
Lots of steps to bedroom
We
Lived our stay at the Christopher Wren hotel where we stayed for three nights recently. The location is perfect within walking distance of all of Windsor, beautiful breakfasts and amazing staff. We had the most wonderful time and would stay again. If you book direct with the hotel only complimentary drinks at the bar which we didn’t receive because we booked through Booking.com.
I just hope staff and management of the Christopher Wren hotel acknowledge and appreciate New Zealanders they are not flashy people so it’s easy to underestimate them.
No elevator.
Good breakfast helpful staff
Great location
Basic room at back of hotel
Fine nothing to complain about
Don't know
Staff was extremely helpful and the location is superb.
This is a well-established traditional hotel on the banks of the river Thames. The rooms are comfortable but are not all air conditioned so can be noisy with the window open and fan running in hot weather. The breakfast was excellent and the manager and staff were efficient and friendly.
Windsor was a huge disappointment to us. It was dirty (litter everywhere) full of noisy drunks and the infrastructure appears to be poorly maintained. Given the castle and heritage of the location we were stunned that the town appeared so run-down and unloved. We witnessed a particularly ugly scene just outside the hotel after dark where a youth was attacking a shopkeeper (statement given to Police). We therefore cut short our visit and left the following morning.
breakfast had a generous amount of options. The quality of the food was good. Staff were very attentive. location was close to the train station and good opportunities for walking and exploring the town.
The only issue was the hotel is split in two sections separated by a road. This did not bother me at all as I was in the new sections, but others may have an issue.
Overpriced, not good value for money and parking was not friendly
Very comfortable
Communication about parking
Breakfast was excellent, a good choice of fresh, tasty food. The hotel location is great, just by the Thames and a short stroll to Eton. Parking whilst not on site is close by and only a short walk.
Nothing stands out as not liking, staff, room and food were all good, so no complaints.
