The kitchen was great. Food was very good.
Sitting outside having to get your own drinks. Why couldn't they at least clear tables. The stairs were awful. The room even with fans was ridiculously warm.
Saubere Zimmer, Zentrale Hotellage
The basic room was excellent. Arrived early but the staff took our bags and were in our room at check-in.
Location
Reception didn’t seem very welcoming nor did they smile and made me feel that welcome
The view is very nice
I had a group of 9 rooms. We paid the same price for the rooms, but several had no air conditioning on the hottest day in history for May in England. The staff was incredibly rude in trying to "help" us with this issue. I don't understand why some people would be put in rooms with a/c while others were not. I should add the Booking.com listing for the rooms stated they had a/c. It would be helpful if you could ensure the rooms we book through you have a/c.
Beautiful property, perfect setting
The only downside is a walk from the car to the hotel (5mins). Travelling with a toddler on my own but the staff were very helpful looking after my bags so I didn’t need to carry them back in my own with a toddler.
Public spaces were nice and river frontage lovely. Room very clean and comfortable. Serving staff at breakfast were lovely.
Room a long walk up many stairs. Unsure if there was a lift - didnt see one and this wasn't mentioned. Low ceilings over window annoying and lack of surfaces in the bathroom disappointing and also annoying. When making the booking i booked (or thought I did) parking at £15. I rang to check this the day before arriving as could find no confirmation and was told thee was no availability. Yet my brother had booked parking the day before successfully which made no sense. PArking was not available through the hotel and we made our own arrangements. The girl I spoke to was helpful in trying to resolve but unable to do so. When booking I also contacted the hotel to explain i was attending a wedding at 2pm and asked for early check in if possible - it wasnt without paying £50 so i asked if I could levae our bags at reception due to timing of the function - I was told they could be left for 1-2 hours . This would have meant I needed to return from the wedding to move the bags from reception to the room - I would have expected this service would be offered by the hotel. Once I asked them in person they confirmed this was no problem - but more proactive and considered communication would have been more impressive and much more helpful.
Location - breakfast- room- cleanliness all good as expected for the price
Staff unsupervised and generally miserable. Did not clear loads of used glasses from the terrace - no clear and clean tables. Car parking terrible - spaces far too small - we couldn’t get out of our car when parked as the spaces were so tight. Had to park elsewhere
Breakfast & bar was nice & had a lot of choice
We was disappointed that the car park wasn’t actually on site. I was very disappointed that our room wasn’t actually in the main hotel but was over the side side of a very public walk way & that anyone from the street could just walk straight up the stair to our room, which was very unsettling. The room its self was nice.
Breakfast was good
Shower was a puzzle
Everything in the hotel was superb
Staff on reception not very friendly at all
The location was nice
3 flights of stairs to get to our room. With no lifts our room resembled an attic
Historic hotel on the Thames
Too many stairs for us older persons
The high tea was disappointing
The location. The staff. The food. The outside terrace.
Tap over sink was very stiff.
Spacious well kept clean comftable
Having to go outside to breakfast
Basic room but comfortable Food lovely
Earlier times for breakfast would have been better
Hot chocolate would have been a nice option at breakfast
