Courtyard by Marriott Scottsdale Old Town

Staff was super friendly, it was easy to check in and out, room was clean and comfy

We stayed April 30-May4. We were greeted in a welcoming manner by everyone we encountered. We would like to especially mention Joey at the food and drink area in the front lobby. Joey was exceptional!!! She is friendly and engaging and noticed every time we walked by and smiled. At different times during our stay, Joey would pick up the conversation as if we had known each other for years. We enjoyed sharing stories about our families and Joey perhaps is the one who sold us on retiring in Arizona! Lover her! She is a gem!

I had booked my stay and then updated my booking weeks before my travel. When I arrived, Jessica checked me in. She made a comment that I was due to arrive the night before. I explained to her that I had updated my booking online to arrive one night later and stay one night longer. She said no problem, it appears to be a glitch that they didn’t receive the update. She reassured me that I would not be charged for that prior night. I even approached the desk a couple days later for her to double check that I wouldn’t be charged. She reassured me again after checking the booking and said I would not be charged.

I WAS CHARGED.

After spending 45 minutes at the counter speaking with 3 associates they said that they would speak to Jessica, the manager to get the charge reversed. Although she wouldn’t be in until 3pm and I would have to trust that this would be resolved.

There were other things that disappointed me, such as the non-working air-conditioning. They had someone come in and service it although it was no different and I was hot during the evening. The gentleman at the front desk did apologize for that at check out.

I will update this review once I get my refund but it doesn’t account for the frustration and the time spent trying to correct an error that I was reassured wasn’t going to be an issue.

loved the breakfast and the staff that served us. Nice variety and great space. Prices a little on the high side.

The room was quiet and very comfortable. Bedding excellent though pillows not very firm. Lovely balcony and being able to have fresh air enter room very important. Cozy love seat/oversize chair w/ottomon. Walking distance to Old Town Scottsdale.

Wonderful first rate hotel. all personnel so very kind...ilene especially. quiet peaceful clean...all one could want...............

Excellent location in walking distance from tons of great restaurants and bars downtown. Really quiet rooms, we didn't hear anyone else at all

Staff excellent. Late checkout facility great for us. Fitness room very good

The room had a funky smell, but we got used to it.
The morning after the 1st night, before I left for the day's activities, I asked the hotel receptionist for the linens to be changed and fresh towels since we'd have different people staying in the room the 2nd night. Came back 8pm and the linens had not been changed, so someone had to come up and change them for us and bring new towels. Otherwise, the stay was great. Staff was pleasant. Loved the hot tub - clean and hot!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Rooms are large and clean. Staff are very nice - especially the breakfast team that started us off with a smile, hot cup of coffee, and delicious meal each morning. Close to old town. I highly recommend!
