For what we used it for it was decent
Pros:

Close to the museum’s and to the park. Love the breakfast options

Cons:

We had to pay $40 dollars per night for parking. My room had a smell ( musky) and the room next door had a dog that would bark all night long

A prefect fit for families who want to be close to downtown San Diego attractions
Pros:

The Residence Inn hotel was the perfect fit for our family's needs. The breakfast was pretty good (not gourmet or anything) and essentially the same every day, but there were many options to choose from (waffles, scrambled eggs, some protein, salsas, cereal, pastries, toast etc). The pool was nice and it was good to have the option to use the laundry facilities ($6 a load for washing and drying with soap). The location was great and we walked to the boat museum and the Little Italy market. We loved having the train station nearby and used it to get around the city very easily and cheaply.

Cons:

There were some things that were definitely dated, such as the yellow lighting in the bathrooms, certain things didn't work, and walls and appliances were just a bit banged up. The room was advertised as water views but we could only basically see a sliver of the water if we leaned off the edge of the tiny balcony.
