Inn at East Beach

No AC in room, only parking available was on the street to park on hotel lot got charged $15 a night totally unexpected expense. Facility advertises free breakfast which is only a dirty coffee pot a bowl with 4 bananas another bowl with apples and individually packed muffins with no expiration date.

It is really old and no aircon. But the price reflects this.

Das Zimmer war in einem heruntergekommenen Zustand. Die Möbel waren alt und beschädigt. Auch die Sauberkeit ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig – sowohl die Bettwäsche als auch die Handtücher waren verschmutzt. Für diese Umstände war der Preis eindeutig zu hoch. Ich kann diese Unterkunft daher nicht empfehlen.

Got really poor sleep/-for some reason we woke up at 11 pm by someone changing a flickering light right outside our door, then again at 1 am when the light just came on in our room and the remote would not turn it off. We were up for over 30 minutes trying to figure out the issue and then it just went off. Called the front desk repeatedly and got no answer. Very hot with no ac and breakfast is a generous term for tiny vending machine sweet buns and an apple. They could provide the core function of the hotel and didn’t really apologize when I brought up the early morning light issue. Was visiting on a work trip and really needed to be able to sleep. Really disappointed at the price point.

The bathroom light provided barely 10% of the necessary lighting. Since we were traveling with children, we asked for the problem to be fixed because the bathroom was unsafe and difficult to use. The manager replaced the light, but it still provided only about half the proper brightness.

After that, we began discovering more and more unacceptable problems:
The bathroom door was badly misaligned and would not close at all because it did not fit the frame. There was absolutely no privacy.
There was dirt and mold around the windows in both the bathroom and the main room.
Several electrical outlets were broken and appeared dangerous to use, creating a serious risk of electric shock.
The sinks and faucets were dirty and damaged, causing water to spill everywhere.
The walls were damaged and had holes in them.
Dust was everywhere, including a large buildup on top of the fan.
The refrigerator shelf was covered in disgusting, old food residue that looked as though it had been left there for months.
Several lights did not work properly.
The shower dripped nonstop, leaving water all over the bathroom floor, and we had to listen to it throughout the night because the bathroom door could not be closed.
The shower faucet was so filthy that no one in our family felt comfortable using it.
I have photos of every issue described above and uploaded them so that future guests can understand the actual condition of this property.
The room was a complete mess, and I am honestly angry and appalled that anyone would consider it acceptable to rent out in this condition. It was unsanitary, unsafe, and practically impossible for our family to stay there.
Because it was after 10pm., management was unavailable, and we could not reach anyone at the property to resolve the situation. We contacted Booking.com for assistance, but the property has not responded to Booking.com’s requests for an explanation.
This experience was completely unacceptable. Just be aware!

There is no AC, just fans. You can't cool down the room at night. We had to book another hotel for our last night as it was too hot on the top floor. The bed was uncomfortable, cheap mattress that transfers every move across the whole surface. The floor was sticky.

No AC in the room. It was 85 degrees and humid all night long. Could not sleep. Fans were provided but did not reduce the stifling heat.
No elevators, just a complicated array of metal stairs to the second floor. I had 2 heavier suitcases that I had to get outside help on to carry upstairs. Other than the front desk attendant who couldn’t leave her post, there were no others to assist with anything. I was told that there was an empty room available on the 1st floor but it would cost me $75.00 extra. In addition, I had an early morning flight out and the office was closed when I exited the premises. I was given a phone number to the office manager but there was only a busy signal when I called. This is a very bare-bones inn.

There is no central AC. While there do have a ceiling fan and tower fans available in the room, if the room doesn’t have extra windows, once you close them or the curtains, the room starts to feel a bit stuffy. We also had a few lights and switches that didn’t work as well as some of the rooms need a bit of updating.
