It’s was good , the maid thought I was just some random black person on the floor asking we weird questions like she own

Cons:

The toilet didn’t want to flush . I ask the receptionist can we switch rooms. She said that the room is what your money paid for and can’t switch to anything higher …..that threw my day off

Overall, really good value for money, especially for such a central location.
Pros:

The location is amazing. You can walk to pretty much all the main places in downtown. The famous Harry Potter store is just around the corner, and Navy Pier and the Riverwalk are also very close.

For dinner we had deep dish pizza from Giordano’s and I can definitely recommend it. The price was reasonable for downtown Chicago, and the smallest pizza was actually enough for two people - we only ate half of it.

The hotel itself was also a really nice surprise. The deposit at check-in was only $60. The price for the hotel was really good considering the location. Honestly, I expected the room to be worse because of the price, but it was actually great. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was a mini fridge (empty) and a coffee machine.

Cons:

There was a strange smell in the room, which smelled a bit like cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, the windows don’t open, so we couldn’t really air the room out.

We were staying on the 11th floor, but the view was just a wall from the building next to us. Not a big deal since we were in the city mainly to explore, but still worth mentioning.

I booked a certain type of room, but when I arrived, they gave me a different one with a smaller bed. When I complained, they said it wasn't Booking.com's fault and that they aren't responsible for Booking.com. Furthermore, the noise level is awful; it's impossible to sleep. If someone closes a door in the hallway, you can hear it in the room, even the elevator. They need to reduce the noise level in the rooms because it's impossible to rest in that hotel.

We won’t be returning since now we know there are nicer options in the same peice range in this area.
Pros:

The location was perfect.
It was also lovely that we were upgraded,without asking, to a king room from a standard room, thanks to our Booking.com Genius status.

Cons:

The checkin/checkout team members and the cleaning lady were pleasant and engaging.
The “cafe” may as well be self-serve…I ordered a latte, the gal behind the counter walked over, hit a button, filled my cup, handed me a box of soy milk to make it a “latte” and told me I can go heat it up in the microwave on the other side of the room.
When my husband asked the front doorman for a luggage cart, he just pointed to it, and ignored my husband. Didn’t even make the offer to help with the door or the luggage when my husband brought it down to the car. He appeared to be too busy telling jokes to a friend.
We are not the kind of people that expect to be treated like royalty, but the service at The Warwick was truly subpar for being a Gold Coast hotel.
Also, overhead light in the bathroom didn’t work

Lovely hotel with friendly staff
Pros:

Smart-looking hotel, clean, lovely decor. I got bumped into a better room than I'd booked and that was great. Everything functioned well (lifts, showers, lights, etc). All the staff I met were helpful and friendly (and so were the other guests that I met). The lobby is on 2nd floor (slightly confusingly!) As a single female traveller I felt safe in the hotel and in the area generally. I would recommend staying here.

Cons:

Bed was a bit soft and I didn't like the pillows, but that's personal taste.

Cons:
