Quiet & Wilma is the BEST!!
Upgrades required.
Loved the property and the location was great. Loved that they had van transportation. The only complaints are that I wish the property had more activities planned for guests and the suite we were in, in the double queen room, the room never got below 78 degrees but the rest of the suite was freezing.
Another great Marriott, super clean and spacious with the comforts we needed to finish out a long trip (e.g. hot tub, laundry, kitchen). Friendly staff and convenient to the forest reserve.
The pool heater was not working. We went to Marriot Monarch's pool and that was cold too. The housekeeper was sitting outside our room from 9am until 10am when we left.
Clean and comfortable
Simply Amazing! As as soon as we walked into our room & inspected it, we concurred with the "Excellent Rating". The woman at check-in provided a glimpse of things to come. She didn't just text or email us. She provided in depth instructions regarding office hours that might impact our check-in. First Impressions 4🌟
very nice!
The room was above my expectations. Very spacious and had everything I needed and more.
Location was great.
The main desk has limited hours.
We stayed here while we took tennis lessons from the Sea Pines Tennis Academy. It was perfect walking distance to the tennis courts and to shopping and dining. They had a nice, free, wine and cheese reception that was well attended and fun. Nice big hot tub as well.
Our favorite spot on the island. The villas are roomy with a great floor plan. We've stayed for 2 to 3 months these past couple of years and enjoy the extra storage space this resort offers. Hubby is able to set up his office in the 2nd spacious bedroom.
The front desk staff of Miss Wilma and Miss Vera can't be beat, and we've stayed at many Marriott Time Shares.
We like that this resort tends to be more adult oriented vs families with lots of kids. It makes sense to me, as you're not on the beach here and activities that would draw families with kids are limited.
The only negative thing I have to say is Marriott needs a stricter no dogs policy. The policy says no dogs, but service dogs are permitted; so of course people abuse that. I think Marriott should require prove the dogs are indeed service dogs; as many other hotels etc do. Two years running there were dogs whose owners "claimed" them to be service dogs; but anyone could see they most definitely were NOT! We had the misfortune of moving into a room one of dogs had vacated, and the damage left by the dog (torn scratched up carpet and screen) were clearly not made by a service dog. Year 2 the "service" dog barked and wanted to play with people....again, clearly NOT a service dog.
The units are in very good condition. The couch is not very comfortable but many condos have this problem. The light switch for the master bathroom is behind the door making it very difficult to switch on! Dumbest we have ever seen. But, the place is well equipped, comfortable and within easy walking distance to Harbortown. We have stayed here 3 years in a row and hope to do so next January!
My check in was the best I’ve ever experienced. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. Keep up the great work!
The Heritage club did not offer breakfast or coffee and our dryer didn't work
No breakfast or coffee offered. our dryer did not work, and the pool was cold and boring. No bar near the pool, no drinks could be purchased. Definitely not for young adults or anyone under 70.
This was a beautiful resort. Villas were clean and spacious, well equipped for cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Our villa seemed recently renovated with new furniture and carpet and modern decor. Housekeeping came every other day to replenish supplies and tidy up. Not many families were staying here (mostly seniors, but maybe because of the time of year), felt like I should keep the kids very quiet in the pool area but otherwise it was a lovely resort! Ladies at the desk were delightful and we loved renting bikes and walking to The Harbor from here.
We liked that property is so close to the Marina and harbor town light house
This place is perfect for a family vacation, if you want a perfect retreat this place has it all. The golf course is outstanding, the best practice range is the lighthouse, the bars around town. The clubhouse, harbor town. Totally amazing. Can not miss it if you are traveling.
The check-in process did not go smoothly as we had gotten delayed in our travels to the Island from GA, after closing hours for the Heritage office. Additionally, had to contact maintenance to have them come and unclog the guest bathroom show/tub drain. Other than that all was good, wished we could have stayed a little longer.
