Pros:

Ridiculous price for mediocre hotel and terrible service. No bottles of water available at the beach location in the heat and no customer service whatsoever. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible experience! They did not have my reservation!
Pros:

Beachfront location.

Cons:

They would not honor my Booking.com reservation that I made a couple months ago. I reserved a king size room with a sleeper sofa for 3 nights from 7/16-19/2026 for a total cost of $1127.19, which was secured by my American Express card. However, when my family and I tried to check-in, they told us we didn't have a reservation. Booking.com tried to resolve the issue but the best the front desk could do was offer a room at the current price of $1900, which Booking.com said they'd only be able cover $500 of the adjusted price. Not willing to pay more than what I was guaranteed by Booking.com, I was forced to secure lodging at a hotel across the street from the courtyard by Marriott South Virginia Beach; very frustrated with both Booking.com and the Marriott! So much for being a Marriott Bonvoy member.

It was infront of the beach oceanfront is what we like! And the stores all around makes it very amazing the location.

Cons:

So overall experience was very poor im sorry we were not satisfied with our stay , to start I didn’t get the rooms I paid for, I paid just about 1,000 dollars for 2 rooms with king size beds and large sofa but I ended up getting 2 rooms with 2 small beds and a small couch in each room , and the crib I asked for was for my son wasn’t only just a crib no mattress , it was really low my son couldn’t sleep there I refused and there wasn’t many things stocked like toilet paper no hygiene there were out of conditioner and barely body wash

Pros:

The property was nice and clean and I love the location. The staff were great and very accommodating.

Cons:

The parking sucked. I didn’t like the fact that we had to pay to park if we are staying at the property. The price was enough to cover that. Also I didn’t like that if you didn’t make it in on time you have to park a good ways from the facility.

Disappointing stay
Pros:

The beachfront location was awesome. We could see dolphins in the water from our balcony. It overlooks the beach and was nice to sit out on . There was a washer and dryer which was convenient for a week stay with a two year old. Nice pool area . Security guard was very friendly .

Cons:

First. I booked on booking for 1800. When I arrived at the hotel price was 300 dollars more. Parking etc ( understandable) but should have been included. The included breakfast was very subpar . Buffet was cold 90 percent of the time and nearly empty . My first morning eating it I was sick to my stomach from something and sick all day. My family did eat it with no issues other than my son got a stomachache as well. Although breakfast was included in the price i paid for the week, alone its 18.95 . Not worth it at all. My husband doesn't sleep well so he was outside smoking when the front desk receptionist walked out and asked him for his room number and was he staying there very rudely , he was actively talking with a security guard when this happened . We had already been there a week and she'd watched my husband come in and out many times. The security guard was very friendly and let the receptionist know he stayed there and had been there a week and the receptionist walked away without even an apology or acknowledgement. This was our first time in Va beach and while we had a great time on the beach I would never stay at a courtyard marriot again. On the way home we stayed at a Holiday in in winchestet va and it was an amazing hotel, great staff and amazing breakfast and pool and gym ,and made me realize how disappointing our stay was at Courtyard marriot suites .

Pros:

I loved the location! We spent many days and nights walking the boardwalk and finding something to do. It was nice that they had their own separate parking which made it easier for us. The staff were welcoming and worked with us when there was a hiccup with the payment.

Cons:

The only thing that I didn't like was that we had requested for someone to come and sweep all the sand out of the bathroom due to us spending a lot of time at the beach. This was never done. At first it wasn't something I had requested, I actually asked for a broom to do it myself, but they stated they would come and do it but never did.

Cons:

My room wasn’t cleaned properly before. Stains on the floor in the bathroom. Hair in the bed and in the shower from previous guests so that let’s you know the cleaning was half assed!

Pros:

Great view of the beach, room was clean and staff was helpful and courteous. Glad a community TV was downstairs next to bar to watch World Cup!

Cons:

Breakfast wasn't worth the money. The kitchen was really behind in keeping food out for the buffet. We felt bad for the cashier trying to process customer charges while letting the kitchen know about the food.
