This is a beautiful experience! The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is amazing. The drinks are perfect and yes, there is a museum!! We didn’t have time, but we will get bikes the next time we visit.
NOLA couldn't find a better ambassador than Christopher at the International House Hotel. He's the embodiment Southern charm and the first person to greet me when I come to the city. I stay at the International House because it's not only a beautiful and historic hotel, but because I know he's there. Plus, Bourdain loved it here. What more recommendation does a place need?
I came to New Orleans for a large work event, and decided to stay here rather than at the conference hotel. I was happy with my choice. The value for the location fantastic - much less expensive than the larger chain hotel where the conference was held, but it was also really easy to get back and forth to the event. You really can't beat this location. The staff at the International House Hotel were very helpful, and I enjoyed the decor and overall atmosphere.
Location! Walking distance to the French Quarter, public transportation, great breakfast options (including one right across the street.
Decoration of the lobby. Simply outstanding.
Bathroom was huge!
Rooms were ok.
Loved that the room had so many windows.
Music was kind of loud in the lobby.
Me and my wife loved the feeling of the lobby with all of the art. The bar was great and all the staff was friendly . Christopher was so great and made great recommendations ! He reserved dinner for us at Antoine’s the first night and we really appreciated all of the effort he put into making sure we had a great time .
Is close to the Bourbon St.
A lots of problems with the room, the toilet was broken, iron have a plastic and I ruined my shirt, they charged me from my deposit water and coffee and they said at the check in time was complementary.
The staff, decor, rooms and facilities were all wonderful. The staff were incredibly helpful

We really didn't enjoy our stay at your 4* rated International House hotel in New Orleans!
We arrived just after 9pm on 23 April 2026 after a long day of travelling from the UK.
Tired and exhausted we were informed by the duty manager (Roman) that no hot drinks were available in the hotel and the bar would be closed at 10pm if we wanted any other kind of refreshment.
We went to our room (1006). There was no refrigerator or safe in the room we also noted that the net curtains had significant rips in them. Too tired that evening to do anything we went to bed.
The bed was totally uncomfortable with a big sag in the middle.
The following morning we informed reception that we were not happy with the room. But because there was a Jazz Fes on in the city there was no other accommodation that they could offer us, apart from one other room (1106) which had no windows and was rather cramped and totally unacceptable.
We went back to our room and stripped the sheets off our bed to find the mattress was upside down and one of the reasons for the large sag in the middle. We again contacted the duty manager and showed him the room and mattress that was in place. He said the best he could do was to get the mattress replaced, get a fridge and safe installed. The safe came, it was the size of a shoe box and left uninstalled loose on the bed, absolutely useless as a safe.
We had only booked to stay in New Orleans at this hotel for 3 nights and wished we hadn’t booked to stay there at all
This is not a 4* hotel by any means we have stayed in cheap motels that are better.
A total disappointment that unfortunately coloured our stay in lovely New Orleans
Location, Space, staff,
Nothing beyond a philosophical difference related to put Banksy “work” on display outside his original installation
Good location , 3 places to eat within 1 minute walking distance for breakfast . Free tea & coffee available in bar from 6-11am .
While the location and room was very good, I was greeted in the hotel lobby with a very crowded and noisy party that the hotel was hosting. I felt like I was intruding on a private party and had to squeeze by party goers just to check in and then get to the elevator. The lobby area is way too small to host such a crowded and raucous party. It made me — as a hotel — feel very unwelcome. The desk staff was very good, but the overall check-in experience left me with a bad impression of the hotel.
