Paying extra for use of pool facility
I didn’t like anything
Worst elevators ever and I was advised by the staff over the phone to park my car at NCP Car Parking and the window was smashed and someone broke into the car and stole my luggage
Location is great, very friendly staff, decent breakfast, great shower. Selected as Guest of the Day which meant welcome bag with complimentary water and Welsh cakes, complimentary drinks & nibbles at the bar (claimed and very nice) and use of spa and swimming pool facilities (did not use any).
No parking at the property which I didn’t realise from description on Booking. Very disappointing given the price of stay. Parking is at the NCP car park nearby (5 min walk) £35 per 24 hrs; hotel gives a discount code (£28 per 24 hrs), but when I went to pay the paying machine was not working so couldn’t use the code anyway. Air con in the room started leaking onto the floor on 3rd day of 3 night stay. Reception team were helpful but issue reoccurred.
The staff was super
The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and made us feel special
It would’ve been nice if there was a plug close to a mirror, so I could’ve styled my hair with my heated styling tool.
It was very central and near Cardiff Castle. Plenty restaurants and pubs in walking distance.
We had an evening meal in the hotel and that was good too.
Two streets away and it was like being a different country. Filthy, dirty streets and it felt rather unsafe.
Staff very welcoming and helpful, venue very family friendly. Loved the games area for the kids in the bar which rotated activities for the kids!
The pool area is dated and some parts of building as a whole.

NO car parking facility. NCP car park machine did not work, car parking is very expensive.
Excellent selection of hot and cold food.
The proximity to the theatre was amazing.
Quilt on bed very thin. No extra blankets in wardrobe. Cold all night and didn't sleep. Ended up putting coat on the bed to keep warm.
