Fourth stay and will return! Friendly and helpful staff in a great location.
Great location
Comfortable room
Excellent hotel with great staff
Didn’t eat breakfast in hotel. Nice staff.
Size of the room. I am surprised given the room size that this hotel is rated as a four star. It did have many of the amenities of a four star hotel but the size of the room was not four star .
Central location, easy access into central London and further. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. All areas were kept clean. Beds were comfortable.
Booked a double room and a single. The single was small but had all the facilities. The double room was a large room in the basement. Our windows looked out onto the storage areas for ladders etc. Would have been nice to look at some flowers in pots etc.
Right next to Gloucester Road station made this helpful to connect with many locations. Our room was stunning with vaulted ceilings, clean space and ample room for a family
It was great.
Location was great for us just 6 mins walk from Hyde Park. Fabulous original features, staff were friendly and the food was excellent.
A little noisy from the street, traffic noise.
I had breakfast included with the price of my booking and was impressed with the gluten free options. There was a basket of wrapped gluten free cereals and pastries (as well as cheeses, yoghurt, fruit), and the staff were able to prepare some toast for me. I didn't have any of the cooked breakfast but felt well catered for as a coeliac.
Hotel was a good location, just a short 15min walk to South Kensington.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent.
I was expecting a bath in the room, but it was a shower only. The bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable, having a standing fan in the room made it difficult to move around in what's already a small room.
Good location
Mattress a bit hard for me
Staff were friendly
Great Location
Fantastic location a short walk from the Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park, multiple museums and a very short walk to Gloucester Road tube which gives you access straight into the West End and the city. I had booked a four bed bedroom. This was one double and two singles. The room though not spacious was more than adequate with hanging wardrobe space, a decent size bathroom for the Price all toiletries included. I do particularly like the fact that they do shampoo and conditioner! There was even a shower cap. The room also had tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. I appreciate that this is standard stuff for many hotels, but for the price I was expecting something much more basic. The staff were lovely and whilst we did not need to use the breakfasts, I noticed that the dining room was full this morning which is a good sign. There is a very sweet little comfy bar as well. It is a traditional hotel not a swanky model Hotel, but I think that’s part of it a charm. The lift for example is pretty small but you could easily get three people in there with small wheelie suitcases. Overall, whilst I was only there for one night to attend an event at the Royal Albert Hall. It was absolutely perfect what I needed.
For my purposes the hotel was lovely. I had no complaints during my stay.
the bar and the reception area are pretty cute. The price was alright. Luggage storage is appreciated.
The room size is ridiculous. London is expensive, but not tiny, and I've not seen such tiny rooms even in Venice. So no, that's not acceptable.
The staff was trying to be helpful, but unfortunately they could not help with anything as it appears the hotel policy is to say no to the guests for any request. No chair, sorry. No ventilator, sorry. No opening the window wider than the few centimetres it goes, sorry. I should add that it was above 30 Celsius when I stayed.
There is no space to unpack your belongings, yet they have neither luggage racks nor a chair you could borrow so you have to have your luggage with all the stuff on the floor.
Very uncomfortable shower.
Tiny bed.
Not only no air conditioner, but also NO VENTILATOR. It is literally the first hotel in my long long travel history that did not have a ventilator. Why?
Traditional, clean hotel. Located close to Royal Albert Hall
Room was very small and only had a high level window that you could not see out of.
The location is perfect, very close to restaurants, markets and National History Museum
There was no AC. Bathroom and elevator are very small.
Old fashioned
Room very small
Quiet location but close to local tube, restaurants and bars. Short walk to the Royal Albert Hall which was the purpose of the visit. Would certainly stay again.
