The guy doing breakfast was rude.
Terrible, unprofessional, misguided & ripped off front desk check in.
International visitor. I arrived for a 1 night seperate room booking with a friend. We were told we'd booked different hotels, same company, but each on other sides of the main road.
The male staff at check in desk said for me to cancel my booking and rebook to the other hotel that my friend was staying. I said mine was a no cancellation booking. He said ... its ok. I will put a cancellation notification on it right now, and that l would not be charged. He showed me on my phone how to do a cancellation request via booking.com app as he did his bit on his check in computer. I trusted his role & guidance.
Done.
We left the hotel, went to other hotel, l payed (again) and stayed there.
Next day, this cancelled hotel fee was taken out of my bank account. I contacted the main desk by phone, only to be told that no male staff member was working there yesterday afternoon when l checked in. And that l would not get a refund. Oh my gosh! Are you serious!
I then emailed the manager twice directly to discuss, with absolutely no reply.
Customer service failure 100%.

Food was expensive. Our vending machine “dinner” was really disappointing.

The ac was not working in the room.
The man at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and it was clean.
The shuttle took forever to get us from the airport. I called multiple times and he kept saying he was close when he wasn't. The shuttle smelled not so good and he was blasting the music. It was 12:30pm and I have small children so it was very unpleasant. The shuttle that brought us back to the airport at 3am was a better experience but also had the music insanely loud, especially for that time of day.
The only issues with the room was that it smelled of cigarettes and it was a really long walk down the hall with small kids. A closer room to the elevator would have been nice.

The room wasn't totally clean. Unnecessary stuff on the carpet and a used plastic cup in the closet.
