Pros:

We booked with them because we had a layover in Charlotte on our way from Portugal to Belize. The complimentary shuttle ride from the airport and back, the following morning was perfect. The front desk staff was polite and respectful. I had a package from an online purchase delivered there and that worked perfectly. Unfortunately, the following morning the breakfast wasn't ready because the staff hadn't shown up. All in all the stay was mediocre.

3つ星と割り切って
Pros:

朝食はてらうところのないもので、昔の米国ホテルの朝食に近いものでした。「こういうのがいいんだよ」ですね。
建物・設備は古めで印象は良くないですが、機能には問題なし。お湯もよく出るし、3つ星として問題なし。
ベッドの硬さがとても具合よく、よく眠れました。

Cons:

ホテル自体の問題は取り立てて言うほどのものはありません。ただ、チェックイン時のレセプションデスクの女性の対応が全体の印象を悪くしました。
当方は普通にチェックインお願いします、という態度で手続きを始めたのですが、説明や受け答えがつっけんどんな感じがしたので、こちらは緊張しました。朝食付きプランなのに (そもそも、この手のホテルなのでほとんど朝食付きは既定でしょう) 朝食は何時から何時まで、という程度の説明があっただけで、クーポンは出てきませんでした。誰もが無料の朝食をとるという仕組みなのかな、と思っていたのですが、翌朝、テーブルに着くとやはりクーポンがいるとのこと。幸い、レセプションデスクに寄って、事情を説明してクーポンをもらうことができました。クーポンを出してくれた人は、全く普通の感じの対応でした。
翌日の乗り継ぎのために、空港近くのホテルとしてここに泊まりましたが、実際に行ってみると、しょせん、車で行く場所なので、Hampton Innをはじめ、ほかのホテルを選ぶ方が無難かもしれません。ホテル自体の機能としては悪いというほどではないのです。ただ、以前、別の地域で Holiday Inn Express に泊まったことがあって、その時は良い印象だったことから同じ系列のところと見て、選定が甘かったかもしれません。ちなみに、こういう空港近くのホテルは、一泊で早朝の出発の客が多いはずで、チェックインの時に、シャトルの予約を向こうから訊いてくれるところもあります。ここはそんな話は出ませんでした。チェックイン時に予約する必要があるということ自体は同じなのですが。なお、空港からのシャトルは当日空港から連絡してきてもらうシステムだそうです。”on demand only" ということです。
「早朝の出発の客が多いはず」ということで思い出しましたが、朝9時ころになると、あちこちで "house keeeepin'" の声が聞こえます。
在室中のわたしの部屋にも来ました。なるほどー、ですね。客がいるかいないか関係なく、どんどん行け、ということですね。
あと、空港近くなので飛行機の音が大きく聞こえることがしばしばありますが、そんなものだと思っていたので気になることではありませんでした。もちろん、この手のホテルにも防音設備の良いホテルはあるのでしょう。
なお、Booking.com経由での利用だったのでIHGメンバーでも何のメリットもなかったのですが、チェックインの時にこちらから言えば、ひょっとしたらメンバーなら水くらいもらえたのかもしれません。レセプションの対応にげんなりしていたので、そんな気にもなりませんでした。

The stay was very frustrating and complicated.

Cons:

I booked 6 rooms and had to pay an extra $100 per room for incidentals until I complained and was only charged $200 for 2 of the rooms. Then I had booked rooms that included breakfast and no one knew about it. Rochelle did give me 6 breakfast coupons(there was 10 of us). I even showed her my booking confirmations and they still would not honor it. We finally had Devonta in the dining room give us 4 more coupons. That was enough for everyone in our group. Paying $11. per day to park for hotel guests is absolutely ridiculous. It should be free if you are staying at the hotel.
