Residence Inn by Marriott Wilmington Landfall

I’ve been staying at this Residence Inn on all my business trips to Wilmington for the past 8 years. It is my comfortable home away from home (which is Charlotte) and Bill has been influential on why I love staying here.

Bill is respectful, professional, and offers courteous customer service on every stay. It’s nice that he remembers my name and always exceeds expectations to ensure my satisfaction on my stay.

Bill was great. This is a great place to stay for business!

Lydia at the Front Desk went the extra mile for us! I needed more pots and pans and she was able to gather up what I needed! She was sincerely helpful and it made our stay a wonderful experience!

Excellent location

Bill did a great job on reception when we checked in. The package we had booked was not prepared in advance of our arrival and Bill took ownership of the issue and not only arranged the substitution of the missing items in our pre booked package but contacted his manager to agree a reduction in our rate.
What started as a disappointment ended up as a total recovery and a very happy customer which shows it’s not what happens but how you react to it that determines customer satisfaction.

Lovely staff, clean and shopping in walking distance

Clean and great customer service only problem it had one king bed and hideabeds I prefer two queens. Office said they don’t have rooms with two queens other than that excellent service nice staff very helpful and breakfast was wonderful it had everything from waffles to yogurt . Pool was sparkling and refreshing! They provided towels at pool area

The staff members were helpful at all times and did everything they could to make our stay the best it could be. But they seemed to be battling against many odds on most occasions in terms of the decline of the fabric of the building.

However, the cleaning staff could not speak English at all which made it difficult to communicate.

We have been visiting this hotel most years for the past 25 years and this year was a disappointment.

The hotel has become tired and in need of updates and modernisation. And not always clean in all areas.

The pool in particular was extremely dirty until we specifically asked at Reception for it to be cleaned. It needs substantial updates to make it look appealing to get into and instill trust that it is a hygienic pool to be swimming in.

Some refurb updates were taking place over several days during our stay which were very noisy and disrupted any peace and quiet that we were trying to enjoy.

The breakfast provision was of a good level and the breakfast area was clean.

We were disappointed on arrival at the cleanliness of the room from every aspect. We expressed this to the guest services night man.

The sliding doors to the wardrobe did not function properly until we cleaned the track ourselves which improved the situation.

The bathroom was reasonably clean.

However, we had to ask most days for the floors to be hoovered and cleaned. The room was most often not serviced until late afternoon.

The building needs attention.

Our room was quiet and clean, a wonderful respite.

The new patio and fire pit is an added bonus. We had breakfast outside 2 days.

Breakfast the best we've seen in a Marriott property and the attendees were friendly and helpful.

Property grounds beautiful and area safe and well lit.

Very little, if any, room to room noise; some from hallway.

We cannot wait to visit under happier circumstances and await the scheduled remodel updates.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very dirty, with mold in the shower and visible stains in the carpet.
