It was a good location since we had plans to stay in eastern Portland next day. Otherwise, not recommended.
I booked a room for three guests with breakfast included. To our great surprise, at check in we were told breakfast wasn't included. When I showed the booking with "incl. breakfast" the receptionist said: They'll be able to tell you in the morning if the breakfast is included or not. In the morning the receptionist informed us that the max amount of breakfasts is two even though we had booked a room for three guests. The worst experience ever! Not worth the price.
Excellent staff and easily accommodated our somewhat chaotic stay of no knowing if we were coming or going. Everyone was so kind to our circumstances and looked out for our basic needs while we navigated a hospital stay. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and we were able to get the best nights sleep possible. Thanks for everything. Family members have already been back to stay again.
The price was a tad high as we were there because we needed a place to stay close to the hospital. A larger discount under these circumstances would have been a bigger help to our reason for staying.
This hotel has a problem with mold. Here are photos! I was given 3 different rooms to try to escape the mold. Black mold in the windows, shower and in the front of the toilet bowl around the water supply. It made me physically ill, being clinically allergic to mold. Also in the first room, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned in advance of my arrival- that was shocking. I did not receive a post stay survey, so I reported all of this to Marriott Bonvoy customer service. They provided me with a written response in quotes where the hotel manager Jocelyn denied the mold entirely - she said it was not present at all. She also wrote to me and was rude. It was like talking with a rep at the DMV. I asked her to get me in contact with her manager and she ignored my request and proceeded to deny everything with Marriott Bonvoy customer service. If this was handled differently I wouldn’t be posting photos here. I would like to say Krista and Roxanne were excellent at the front desk.
We are here now. One night stay and absolutely the worst room we have ever had with Marriott. Top floor room that was vibrating and loud fan sounds all night. Unplugged mini fridge - wasn’t it. It’s coming from the ancient vent in the bathroom that is humming and vibrating through the walls. I have never had such a bad sleep. You can hear the sounds through ear plugs! Bed mattress is also outdated with lots of lumps. The whole hotel needs a refresh and a good housekeeping overseer. I have severe feather allergies and even messaged on the chat to confirm that the room was weather free (it’s on our profile). And it wasn’t. Front desk agent was nice and brought new pillows but they were musty. Allergies are all flared up. One of the beds had a stain on the side of the mattress u see the sheets yet visible and the bathroom floor had dirt piled in corners. Tiny bathroom sink counter space. Free parking is the only plus. I can’t recommend this property at all. Didn’t use any other amenities and will need to find a Starbucks for a quick bite since there is no free breakfast. Dining space had a hand written sign that said espresso machine broken. Another hand written sign at check in about a receipt machine not printing either. The staff interacted with was very nice. The hotel is not worth a Marriott designation at all. Especially for the close to $200 a night price tag!
The front desk employees were very sweet & kind
Around 9 am I’m up getting ready for the day. As I’m walking to the bathroom someone attempts to open my door. There was no knock no one announcing themselves. As a single woman alone in a hotel room this was scary! Come to find out it was housekeeping. But, if the room had been vacant why attempt to enter? The room would have been cleaned the day before. Housekeeping at 9 am is very much odd considering if someone was in the room they would enter and clean after check out. Once I spoke to the front desk and they confirmed it was housekeeping I put the do not disturb sign on the door. Upon leaving someone had taken the sign and slid it back under the door. It was all very unsettling. Thank God I had the slide lock so no one could enter but had I not what would have happened to me, what would have happened to my valuables?
Quiet and comfortable room, great location. I appreciate the shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom; so convenient. The fitness center was nice and not crowded while I used it.
Could hear the water run whenever the room upstairs flushed or used the facilities.
Special accommodations made for my disability. Heather was very kind and took care of everything with ease.
Not a whole lot actually, parking sucked and there wasn’t much for amenities, No soap, no bottle water. I guess I paid for the name.
Just about everything, parking sucked, bed sucked, bathroom sucked.
The room had greasy stains on the wall. Not well kept rooms for $150 per night. Staff was rude and uninformed. I was charged an extra $70 and I got different explanations depending on who I talked with. One woman slamed a door in my face after asking why I was charged extra.
I liked the price point and the staff at front desk was very nice
The bed felt was a little tired
Clean
Pay for anything and everything for breakfast?
Workout room. Cafe. Lounge.
The lobby and bistro/bar where very nice and the staff was very accommodating.
The room was typical for a hotel, but the furniture arraingment was poor. Very restricted access to one side of the bed, maybe 18 inches wide with a hard wood fixed table end protruding into the walk space. Surprised if they had not received complaints as it was very awkward to get past, especially at night. The bathroom had poor quality detail with sloppy workmanship. Generally find Courtyard properties much better taken care of. Lastly, room service is only provided every other day.
