Breakfast was very good but we did not know it was not included with the room.

A comfortable stop on our road trip. Large, clean rooms. Located a 20-minute drive from Laguna Beach and a 5-minute drive to a major shopping mall, which provided us with alternative breakfast and dining options. They also had a pool, bar + restaurant on site which we did not use.

The staff was superb, the front desk as well as the bartenders! The bed/pillows were comfortable.

We stayed for 3 nights and had asked for daily housekeeping. After first night and as we left the room the next morning, (housekeeping was next door) we said hello and left. On our return, no housekeeping was done. We called for additional towels at the front desk and inquired if they were mistaken in not cleaning our room. Front desk confirmed that they did note daily cleaning. After an hour of waiting for the towels, we had to call again to remind them of our towels. They made our beds the next day but did not change the sheets. All they did was make the bed. It would have been nice if they had clarified what daily housekeeping meant: no new towels or changing of sheets for our 3 night stay. Service wise, I feel it was lacking. Room was at least clean.

When it came time to plan my 50th birthday celebration, I wanted a venue that would make this milestone truly special. After a disappointing experience with my original venue, I was relieved to discover the DoubleTree by Hilton Irvine – Spectrum. From my very first visit, I knew I had found the perfect place, and it exceeded all of my expectations.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Catering Sales Manager Noel Vasin and the outstanding staff members Julie and Alex. From the beginning, they were professional, accommodating, and genuinely committed to making my event a success. Their guidance and attention to detail made the planning process smooth and stress-free.

The venue itself is beautiful. Guests were welcomed through an elegant foyer, where I was able to create a stunning entrance with balloon decorations lining the hallway. The banquet room was the perfect setting for my celebration, and I was extremely pleased with the room layout, table arrangements, and overall presentation. The hotel also provided round mirrors and votive candles that beautifully complemented my centerpieces and enhanced the décor.

The food was excellent. I selected the chicken and salmon entrées for my guests, and throughout the evening I received numerous compliments on both selections. Everything was prepared perfectly and served promptly. The cash bar was a great addition, and the champagne toast helped make the evening feel even more festive and memorable.

What truly set this venue apart was the exceptional customer service. Every staff member was attentive, friendly, and dedicated to ensuring that everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Their professionalism allowed me to relax and fully enjoy celebrating this important milestone with my family and friends.

This celebration was especially meaningful to me because it took place shortly after the loss of my mother. During a difficult time in my life, the kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by the DoubleTree team helped create an evening filled with joy, love, and cherished memories that I will never forget.

Thank you again to Noel, Julie, Alex, and the entire DoubleTree team for helping make my 50th birthday celebration such a wonderful success. I highly recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton Irvine – Spectrum to anyone looking for a beautiful venue, exceptional service, and an unforgettable experience for their special occasion in Orange County.

Shuttle availability was excellent and Carlos made us feel like royalty, finding the best spots to unload and to meet up, always opening the door for us, smiling, and greeting us. Great service Carlos!
