Great location right on the beach. Service was outstanding.
Rooms are generally in good shape, but there is some wear. For example, our AC struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature.
Our stay at Casa del Mar exceeded all our expectations. We embarked on a wonderful road trip through California, including Lake Tahoe, and had the opportunity to stay at some of the most luxurious hotels along the way. With complete sincerity, we can say that this hotel was one of the most beautiful.
The location is simply unparalleled, and what truly sets the hotel apart is the incredible attention to detail. Our room was magnificent, with breathtaking ocean views, a spacious and exceptionally comfortable bathroom, and every amenity one could possibly expect from a truly luxurious hotel.
The entire team was incredibly kind and attentive. A special thank you goes to Hansel, who welcomed us impeccably and made us feel truly cared for from the very beginning. We would also like to mention the restaurant team, whose service was exceptionally professional and added to the overall experience.
The only small detail we missed was the evening turndown service, which we would have expected from a hotel of this category.
Other than that, our stay was truly fantastic. It was an extraordinary experience, and a place we will remember fondly and would wholeheartedly recommend.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach - yards from Shutters (sister property - much more of beach club vibe). Huge entrance / atrium extending into bar area and dining room - huge windows looking out over the beach. Slightly old fashioned in a charming way. Rooms were absolutely spectacular - beach front chic. The most comfortable bed. Amazing bathrooms too. Only downside being the door / walls to the corridor are very thin. Can hear anyone passing your room.
Few service niggles - our second room was a couple of hours late being ready; forgot to make up one of the rooms; breakfast was cold one morning (as was the coffee). But, feedback was gratefully acknowledged. Expenisve ... but (just about) worth it.

חייבים לבחור במלון הזה חדר עם נוף לים, אחרת זה פחות נחמד.
Posizione meravigliosa
Abbiamo prenotato un soggiorno di due notti. Su Booking è evidente che le camere della categoria da noi prenotata siano più grandi. A noi è stata inizialmente assegnata la camera 533, oggettivamente più piccola rispetto a quanto mostrato e descritto.
Inoltre, nella camera 533 i vetri erano completamente sporchi, al punto che risultava addirittura difficile vedere chiaramente all'esterno. Un dettaglio che ci ha sorpreso particolarmente considerando il livello e il prezzo di un hotel a 5 stelle.
Il problema principale, però, era la posizione della camera: si trova sopra la centrale termica ed è presente un rumore continuo e molto fastidioso, tanto da dare letteralmente la sensazione di trovarsi all'interno di una nave.
Dopo aver trascorso la prima notte nella camera 533, durante la quale abbiamo dormito molto male proprio a causa del rumore, la mattina seguente abbiamo segnalato il problema alla reception e chiesto una soluzione.
Siamo quindi stati spostati in un'altra camera. Entrando è stato subito evidente che questa avesse le dimensioni corrette rispetto alla categoria prenotata e, soprattutto, fosse finalmente silenziosa. La camera era anche migliore sotto alcuni aspetti, avendo una vista parziale sull'oceano, ma si trattava di una stanza attrezzata per persone con disabilità, senza doccia e dotata esclusivamente di vasca.
Un altro aspetto che abbiamo trovato particolarmente negativo riguarda il bagno: non è presente il bidet e non è prevista neppure una doccetta igienica accanto al WC. Comprendiamo che il bidet non sia uno standard negli Stati Uniti, ma l'assenza di qualsiasi alternativa per l'igiene personale risulta, dal nostro punto di vista, decisamente poco igienica e poco adeguata a una struttura di questa categoria.
Inoltre, manca completamente anche lo spazzolone per il WC.
