When we go to Edmonton this is were we stay .Very clean and great staff.
there is nothing i didn't like.
The restaurant service and breakfast was good. Thats all.
In 1 room, the windows couldn't open because the leavers were broken. The beds were not comfortable. The front desk staff was not accommodating. Had to ask for more towels in each room. The TV remote barely worked and the channel selection was a joke. All in all, I made a huge mistake in booking a room there.
Shower head and plug rusted. Bath plug struggled to stay upright(open)
The Hotel is very clean and peaceful during our stay. Also, I like the design of their lobby. Our room was nice and clean. There was an extra sink outside the bathroom and that is so helpful just at least when the bathroom is occupied. I am not sure if that goes the same for the other rooms. I find that very resourceful and well thought of. The lamps, study table, and cabinets are all clean too. Nice comfortable bed they have as well. They even have an iron and ironing board. Very considerate. The bathroom is very spacious and has soap dispensers.
There were couples of things. First, the bathroom shower curtain rod was not built sturdy. Both sides of the rod were just clipped at the walls so they fell off easily and hit my head. I fell outside the tub and God's grace I didn't hit my head on that concrete floor. That concrete floor was slippery too when wet. My shoulders and back hit the concrete ground though. It is not safe for elders to be left alone in the bathroom. Secondly, They don't have water for the guests. A lot of hotels whose rates are lesser, same well maintained facilities, but have water dispenser, at least in their restaurant or common area for the guests to fill their own bottles even in the middle of the night But Chateau Louis doesn't have one. They tell the guests to go to the vending machine to purchase water for 3+ dollars a bottle.
The property is well maintained and has a unique, inviting atmosphere.
The bed was hard.
Front desk staff were very good. Loved the atmosphere and decor of the lounge as it made you feel you were in a stately room. We had supper in the lounge and the food was excellent. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel.
