Pros:

This was the only hotel available for our dates because of a concert taking place in nearby Figueira da Foz, so I was grateful that we managed to find accommodation at all.

The staff were perfectly pleasant and welcoming. The room had a balcony, and, importantly, there was no strong smell of cleaning products or laundry chemicals.

We did not manage to try the breakfast because we returned late and woke up after it had finished. At the bar, we were offered rye toast with ham and cheese. It was rather bland, but the service itself was friendly.

Cons:

Under normal circumstances, this is not a hotel or an area I would choose to visit. There is virtually nothing to do in the surrounding area, and the hotel itself certainly does not feel like a four-star property.

The building is quite old, and both the service style and the interior feel outdated. The design, furniture and general atmosphere strongly suggest the early 1990s.

The bed was rather hard, and the room layout was uncomfortable despite the room being fairly large. The balcony had no furniture at all.

Rooms facing the hillside rather than the valley overlook several air-conditioning units, which are quite noisy. The view also includes the roof of a basement covered with artificial grass and scattered with cigarette butts. This is simply unacceptable for a four-star spa hotel.
