The day was great, but I did not appreciate them adding $22. Especially since we didn’t use any amenities.
Pros:

Love the Hotel, not the policies

Cons:

Although we paid in full through Booking.com. They asked for our credit card for incidentals.

They added $22 “Amenity Fee”.

Too noisy, no rest, and unprofessional staff
Pros:

I cannot recommend this hotel if you want to get a restful sleep and want welcoming hospitality. We were in room 336 and, although, the room was large and seemingly clean, it wasn't. The carpet had a variety of stains that made it look unclean. The right side of the bed (facing the bed) was squeaky, so it disrupted our rest. The biggest issue we experienced is the lack of room sound insulation. I clearly heard the neighbor's alarm clock ringing at 5AM on our first morning. I missed his alarm the second morning, but at 4:45AM, I felt like I was part of his zoom call. Not good! The final straw was every time someone came in or left their room, the door slammed with a wall-shaking thud. It was shocking every time!

Upon check out, I asked to speak to a hotel manager and the front desk clerk said yes, and I asked are you a manager, and she said yes. I'm still not sure if she was a manager, but she said she was. We found her to be unprofessional. When I explained our issues to her, she was completely dismissive. Instead of showing any concern, she had an excuse for every thing we brought up. To be fair, I forgot to mention about the stains in the room and the squeaky bed. However, when I told her about the slamming doors, and I said I didn't blame her for it because people are inconsiderate, she told me in 7 years not one person ever complained about the doors slamming. Ok, if she says so. She advised us that we should have mentioned it the day before, and she is right. She said they could have moved us to a different room, which presents additional challenges since we were already settled in the first room. Then she said she wasn't being dismissive, but that's exactly what she was doing.

Finally, we were in and out of the hotel several times over the two days we were there. She never once welcomed us or said hello when we walked in. To me it shows a lack of customer service and hospitality. This was the end of a 2 week road trip and they were the worst days that we had. Sad, but true.

Oh yeah, one semi-good note, the young woman that checked us in was very nice, but I dont recall her offering us our welcome glass of wine.

Hotel Winters booking
Pros:

Great hotel.
Would have given 5 stars but we tried to book a block of rooms and it was cheaper to go through bookings.com and whatever I booked I would have had to pay for if they were not sold out.
Other than that the hotel is beautiful and service was great

Pros:

Large comfortable rooms - wide hallways with high ceilings and nice artwork throughout. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free water and iced tea was a nice touch.

Cons:

Low water pressure in shower. Pool wasn't really a pool - more like a wading pool.

Great hotel in Winters
Pros:

We attended a wedding in Winter’s California. We had no idea this cute small town had such a wonderful hotel. We were expecting a country inn, But were delighted to experience a high class hotel. We had lunch at the Italian restaurant in the hotel which was also very good. Great place to stay if you’re in the area!
