The hospitality and friendliness of the reception and dining room staff were a real highlight.

Would not recommend for work trip
Pros:

When problems came up, if you suggest a practical solution, the staff are willing to work on it / be accommodating.
Also got a free upgrade and late check out which was kind of them.
Provided an ironing board for the whole stay which was helpful as a make shift desk for online meetings.

Cons:

Wifi was unreliable so if your work is reliant on it, rethink your choice.

Had to change rooms mid stay after facing issues with a leaking sink, dead lock battery, and poor wifi in the first room - all these problems emerged within 1-2 days of the stay.

Second room’s geyser didn’t work unless you left it on for 4 hrs, it had sticky floors, smoke smells, stained sheets, 1/3rd of the toilet seat was under the sink, and the smart TV didn’t work but I got tired of constantly bringing up issues so did not try to resolve these as I was there for work and didn’t have time to follow up with them constantly. Maybe some of the problems would’ve been sorted out if I had brought them up.

Breakfast was pretty minimal - the spread is not as big as it appears in photos. Opted out of it a few days into my stay. Also more than half the room service menu is not available but they allow you to bring outside food in. Better to do that or just ask what’s available rather than picking from the menu.

Had to reactivate room key every single time even if I only left the room for 5 mins to go to the reception.

Outdated and too small room

I have stayed in this hotel many times in the past. I was expecting some upgrades but it let me down.
The room was too small for 3 people. The bathroom fittings are outdated and need immediate replacement. The room is not value for money. All the facilities are minimal.

A fun stay
Pros:

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The staff there are a fun and interesting bunch. Half the time I thought I was in an Indian remake of Fawlty Towers. There was some haphazard chaos but in the end it was more endearing than annoying.

For instance, every night I got the same call to my room asking if I had made a food order (which I hadn't). Not annoying and if anything it showed good diligence.

But ultimately the staff do try really hard and aim to provide a good service and (most of the time) they do.

Cons:

The bed was a little hard. Not unbearable but a bit harder than I usually like. The laundry service is ridiculously expensive compared to other services. The shower works but when you turn the hot water on it shudders and spits like it hasn't been used in months.

Un bon hôtel !
Pros:

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil, la situation calme de la rue où se trouve l'hôtel.
La chambre, le confort du lit et la propreté.
La disponibilité du personnel.
Cela reste tout de même le meilleur hôtel que nous ayons eu durant ce séjour au Bengale.
Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Cons:

Le personnel bruyant dans les couloirs tôt le matin, ainsi qu'une musique forte dans les couloirs que nous trouvons inutile.
La plomberie qui doit être revue dans la douche.

A hHome away from home,warm, snuggy and comfortable
Pros:

The hotel being very centrally located.

Cons:

The toilet water spray.there could have been a glass sliding door instead of the curtain as it comes in the way while having a shower.
