Pros:

The Malla Hotel is het oudste en meest chique hotel van Kathmandu. Het straalt ook een dergelijke sfeer uit, het personeel is zeer dienstbaar, servicegericht maar ook een beetje afstandelijk (zeker de wat oudere staffmembers). Het jongere personeel is veel opener, de bediening is uitstekend. Vooral Sulva van het restaurant is een hele aardige man die elke dag een praatje met me kwam maken. Mooi hotel, prachtige tuin, lekker eten. haast elke dag waren er events en dat was een lust voor het oog. ik had een kamer aan de zwembadzijde dus geen last van muziek etc.
Ik zou er zeker nog een keer gaan verblijven. schone kamers, goede douche en goede bedden.

Cons:

de badkamers zijn zwaar verouderd (vergeelde spiegels), geen digitale tv.

I am disappointed this time with overall service, except few exceptions
Pros:

location is good. Few stuffs (in breakfast and in reception) were good in behavior and supportive.

Cons:

breakfast was poor, not satisfying. commode condition was very bad. room condition is also not that standard. few employee's behavior (in breakfast and in reception) were not up to the mark. room cleaning was okay but how they prepared the room (ex. bedding preparation) was not proper. bed and cushion are also not comfortable anymore.

Een heerlijk rustige plek in Kathmandu, aanrader!
Pros:

Het is een heerlijk rustige oase in een hectische stad. Extreem vriendelijk personeel, fantastisch zwembad en spa. Echt een aanrader voor een ‘zachte landing’ in Kathmandu.

Cons:

Er waren 3 trouwerijen, wat op zich niet dramatisch was, maar het zwembad was daardoor wel een middag gesloten.

Good value
Pros:

Great value and very good location. Breakfast was OK and bar food was adequate.
Staff is very helpful and diligent.
Pool was very nice.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit run down. Cleanliness is questionable.
It can be quite noisy, specially the phones in the corridors used by the staff to communicate among themselves, they ring all day with nobody picking up, it's crazy.
If you think of it as an affordable 4 star you will not be disappointed.

Pros:

The breakfast garden area with it's tranquility, monkeys and northern palm squirrel's. The friendly staff. The Asian restaurant was fantastic. Glass bottled water.
