I didn’t mind the location much and there were bars around the area to go to at night.
I did not appreciate the way we were treated when we checked in. I was not impressed by the check in being on the 2nd floor and only having stairs to get there. I also think they need to be more open and honest about everything they do charge you for rather than finding out about it when we are already there to check in. They charged us over $200 for “incidentals” we did not know about, also there is parking across the street but it is $25 per night and also every time you leave the garage. They also do not have housekeeping every day it is only every other day. I do think people should know all of this BEFORE spending over $1,000 for a few nights stay.
We couldn’t find parking so we never checked in. The valet that is available did not have any employees and the garage that they use for parking was blocked off. The location is terrible. We almost got hit multiple times trying to find a spot. Nothing about this hotel is clear.
Nice , modern , fancy in the action of downtown , a great place if you want to party in the hub of short north
Extra small room , uncomfortable bed , no fridge , closet , really felt like a minimalist closet , the cleaning crew were super loud @ 8am outside my door yapping , and the club on the rooftop was reverberating in my room ,
We really enjoyed our stay here, and I'm surprised at the low review rating. It was new, modern, and clean. We did hear a little music from the roof one night, but it wasn't bad, and I'm an extremely light sleeper. We were on floor 8, room 804. Maybe other rooms or floors have more exposure to the rooftop bar noise.
We had one of the rooms with 2 queen beds that are separated by the bathroom in the middle. It was a strange layout! It worked fine for our family of 4. Nice to shut a door between the rooms if some stay up later than others. This would be a great room if you have young kids and could put them to sleep and close the door and then watch TV in the other room. There's a door between the rooms, but only one room has bathroom access without opening the door. Nice bathroom with rainfall shower. Wifi fast and easy to use.
We loved the lobby with free Pac Man and free Star Wars pinball. We loved that we got 2 free beers (or sodas, etc.) Free goldfish crackers too.
Location is amazing. We walked to a Clippers game (bit of a hike but we're New Yorkers.) So many restaurants and shops are walkable.
We used the valet. $25 a night. Maybe the lot across the street is cheaper, but we appreciated the covered valet entrance to the building as it was raining a lot.
Would stay again.
This was an unacceptable experience, and I would strongly advise others not to stay here.
I reserved a room for my family after a concert and cancelled approximately 72 hours in advance. Despite cancelling within that timeframe, I was charged the full amount due to a “special event” policy—something that was not made sufficiently clear at the time of booking.
I immediately contacted Marriott International customer service. While the representative was helpful and opened a case, I was told the hotel would follow up within five business days regarding a refund. That follow-up never happened.
After two weeks with no communication, I contacted Marriott again and was informed that the hotel refused to issue a refund and would reach out directly. Once again, no one from the hotel ever contacted me.
To make matters worse, the hotel was fully booked the night of my reservation, meaning the room was re-rented while I was still charged in full. Keeping my payment under these circumstances is not just disappointing—it reflects extremely poor business practices.
The complete lack of communication, accountability, and willingness to resolve a reasonable concern is unacceptable. I will not stay here in the future and will be discouraging others from doing so as well.
The property was clean and room was small but very nice. I liked the style of the rooms. The bed was comfy.
They don’t tell you that there are two clubs one that has djs spinning on the roof till 2m THAT YOU CAN HEAR FROM YOUR ROOM! For all the good and nice staff was ruined by the fact I had loud music in my rooms and couldn’t sleep. Also I was on the 7th floor and it was clearly audible.
Worst experience I have ever had. Do not stay here if you want to actually sleep. Bass from rooftop kept me up past 2 am. Small rooms
Great hotel if you're on a Monday or Tuesday. Awful hotel the rest of the week when the rooftop bar, ManDrake is open. The bass will find its way to your floor, no matter where you are. And it will continue late, even past midnight on a Sunday (when it closes at 10 PM).
FUN place to be! Super great value and a great time!
Staff were very friendly. Room and bathroom were spacious compared to Moxy at another state.

The location
We called multiple times to get towels our floor. The housekeepers cough was so loud and phlegm filled… she should have stayed home. Other than that EVERYTHING WAS GREAT
Disappointed with experience. Booked two rooms but advised large party would be loud so we were placed in another room. They indicated there would be two beds but one was a trundle bed.
Check in was at bar and generally the employees were not friendly.
Further our room was never cleaned during our stay.
