Area and Rooms
Awesome service!!
Cameron, was great and all the staff and bellman were wonderful!
One bedroom Suite was very roomy and very nice. The restaurant and bar were great also!! We shall return!
Loved the service, cleanliness of the rom and surrounding property.
Cost of valet parking
Location, excellent beds, quiet, spacious bathroom and room.
Two lamps in room didn’t work ( maybe burnt out bulbs). Should have free coffee conveniently available in the morning ( not just to be made in the room).
I love this hotel and stay here often for business. I had a stay recently where my wife and 8 year old son joined me. Jasmine Cruz welcomed us and checked us in very quickly. Immediately, she began talking with my son and having fun with him. He loves staying in hotels. We got to our room and she surprised us with an upgrade. That was not it though. She then had some cookies and an amazing note for my son delivered to our room. He absolutely loved it and doesn’t want to leave this hotel. Thank you Jasmine for being so thoughtful and amazing at what you do. The Westin should be thankful to have an employee like you. Can’t wait to see you again!!! Please give Jasmine a big hand clap and high fives!!!!
The Westin was a great location to visit family in Houston Methodist. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Especially Savior, Devin, and Garrick.
Spent 11 days at the Westin. Great experience. Professional staff, clean rooms, good food & amenities (fitness center, pool) . Of particular note, the 3rd party car valet team. I parked for 11 days and didn’t always have cash to tip each time. The crew was always very professional, helpful, timely and fun.
Fany was the best when cleaning my room. She is a great worker. Francisco eepaired my HVAC unit and was extremely professional. Thank you
Easy access- clean- enjoyed the pool- convenient shuttle
Nothing
We stay here when my husband has a morning doctors appointment at Memorial Hermann Hospital as its only a few blocks from the hotel. We come in from southern Louisiana and its a 4 hour drive for us and we don't want to make that drive and then fight the Houston traffic getting to his appointment. You had a good rate as we got there that night at 8:00 pm , ate dinner at the hotel, then left at 9:00 am for his doctors appointment.
Can't think of anything... it was a very quick stay as stated above.
The Westin has nicely renovated the former Medical Towers building into a great hotel convenient to the Medical Center, Rice University, and the Museum District. All of these are a nice walk from the hotel, but can also be accessed via the hotel's free shuttle that will take you anywhere nearby.
As a Bonvoy Ambassador elite, we had a double queen room on a high floor. Rooms are a bit small and lack a formal desk area or sitting chair, but have a hightop table with stools for work or sitting. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The Heavenly Bed offered a great night's sleep. Depending on your preference, do note that the bathroom did have a shower/tub combo, unlike many new and recently renovated properties that have gone to walk-in showers only.
Service was great - a warm welcome on arrival. Valet parking was very prompt and friendly. Breakfast had a wide variety on the menu and was served quickly.
I look forward to returning again when I stay in this area of Houston.
Unfortunately, my stay was not as pleasant as I expected.
At check-in, I was informed that the building’s gas supply had been shut off by the gas company or the fire department — I do not recall exactly which — and, as a result, the hotel had no hot water. When I asked the front desk about my options, the only alternatives offered were to cancel my reservation or find another hotel on my own.
In my opinion, the minimum the hotel could have offered was a complimentary night or some type of compensation, especially since I still decided to stay despite knowing I would have to take a cold shower.
The next day, I asked whether late check-out would be possible, or at least access to a shower service if late check-out after 6:00 p.m. was not available. Neither option was possible. Overall, I found the front desk to be very inflexible.
Given this experience, I would not stay at this Westin again.
