Our stay was exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding staff. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth, professionalism, and attention to every detail. The team, Faseegh, Tumi, Unathi, Lwazi, Carlington and Siya went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, memorable, and stress free. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and a truly welcoming experienced.
Beautiful lounge and bar, super friendly and helpful staff. Really tasty breakfast.
The room was small at the price and the bed was uncomfortable. The cupboard lights did not turn off and the aircon points directly at the bed. No view. This room was very poorly designed and not thoughtfully apointed.
Beautiful property. Excellent personalized attention. Upscale neighborhood. Beautiful views of Cape Town. Excellent food. Shuttle within 10 km readily available. Excellent rooms. Beyond expectations
From the moment we arrived, Camissa House exceeded every expectation. The property is stunning, and our room was beautifully designed and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was excellent, featuring fresh and delicious options. However, the true highlight of our stay was the butler service. The entire team was amazing—attentive, professional, and deeply committed to ensuring we had a wonderful time. They truly made our stay memorable. We will definitely be back!
The staff make this property special. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a hotel and more like staying in a private home, with personal service throughout our stay.
Tumi was incredibly welcoming, always greeting us with a smile, and all the butlers consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. When we missed afternoon tea, the chef thoughtfully prepared a cheese board for us so we wouldn’t go hungry. They also arranged an early breakfast on the morning of our departure, which was greatly appreciated.
Ayanda was a lifesaver, always available to drop us off at and pick us up from nearby restaurants, making everything effortless. It was the little touches that made our stay even more memorable too like returning each evening to a turned-down room and finding brownies on our pillows.
Camissa House is the kind of place where, even on a rainy day, you’d be perfectly happy relaxing at the hotel rather than feeling confined by the weather.
We absolutely loved spending our honeymoon there and couldn’t have asked for a more memorable stay.
We spent the first few days of our honeymoon here and the staff was simply outstanding. The food was exquisite, and the Service was exemplary.
With only 8 rooms and abundent staff, this boutique hotel is intimate. The staff was exceptional - super friendly, engaging and helpful The head butler remembered our names immediately. The entire staff bent over backwards to help. The breakfast & afternoon tea, both of which were included with our stay, were both excellent and abundant. The rides into/from CBD or whatf after 5PM included in stay made the location very convenient while still out of hustle bustle. The rooms were great and beautifully done. When we return to Cape Town, we would definitely stay at Comissa House.
Beautiful boutique hotel right by Table Mountain. The views were amazing, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the staff made the stay feel extra special. The breakfasts and high tea was also incredible, and the Mountain Pride room had a clear stunning view of the mountain.
From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we checked out, we were treated to exceptional service from the entire staff. Everyone addressed us by name and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and there were always nice goodies at high tea each afternoon. We can’t say enough good things about the Camissa House.
Camissa House is more than just a boutique hotel; it is a sensory experience that redefines modern luxury!
Architectural Splendor & Interior Artistry
The architecture serves as a seamless bridge between the rugged mountain face and the cosmopolitan skyline below. Inside, the design language is a sophisticated celebration of African heritage met with contemporary refinement and seamless sensory of calming colors that are soothing to the soul.
• The Furnishings: Every piece feels curated rather than styled. You’ll find a masterful mix of rich, organic textures—think buttery leathers, brass accents, and velvet upholstery—that invite you to linger.
• Art & Detail: The walls act as a gallery for striking local art, while the lighting design creates an atmosphere that is both dramatic and deeply serene.
• The View: Whether you are watching the morning mist roll off the peak of the mountains
or the city lights flicker at dusk, the exterior views are integrated into the very soul of the interior.
An Intimate Sanctuary
With only a handful of rooms, the setting is exceptionally intimate. It manages to feel like a private, ultra-luxe residence rather than a hotel.
Unparalleled Service
What truly distinguishes Camissa House is the anticipatory service. From the moment you arrive, the staff doesn’t just know your name—they understand your preferences.
• The Personal Touch: Whether it’s having your favorite drink ready before you ask or the meticulous attention to detail in the turn-down service, the team operates with a quiet, choreographed excellence.
• The Staff: Every interaction is marked by genuine warmth and a level of professionalism that makes you feel like the only guest in the house.
For the discerning traveler who appreciates exquisite design, breathtaking vistas, and the quiet luxury of being truly seen, Camissa House is, without question, the premier destination in Cape Town.
The location was a very quiet area. The views from hotel were great.
They provided shuttle to restaurants and shops with in a certain radius of hotel.
Staff was friendly and very helpful.
We went to Camissa House in between safaris in Zimbabwe and Kruger Park. I didn’t know what to expect. The hotel is in a beautiful part of Capetown. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. They welcome you with open arms. A welcome drink and off to a song room in a hotel with only 8 rooms. The room is well furnished with an amazing view of the city. The food is great at breakfast and afternoon tea is lovely. They offer their services for driving you to and from your restaurant for dinner saving you trouble with Lyft or Uber. This is so nice. Their bar is always open to you as well as their coffee and tea service. This place is run by amazing and friendly people. I can’t recommend this place. Lovely and a perfect hotel for a visit to Capetown.
This was a new stay for us in Cape Town and we booked it on the back of a fellow traveller recommendation from a previous holiday in SA the year before. We opted for the 4 nights for the price of 3 primarily so that we could dine out at some new places to eat in town. Ubers are really easy to arrange but if you fancied stretching your legs then you could walk from here right to the waterfront but of course you might want to get an Uber going back up hill :-) As for the place itself, we chose the lead in room as we always do with stays, and were more than satisfied with what we got however the phone in the room was a bit unreliable when we wanted to ring down for a coffee and the water pressure wasnt always great being on the top floor but we never found out why. We did raise these issues with the management at the time. The staff are really friendly and ready to help with anything as you would normally expect from that great South African hospitality and a special shout out to Walter who has been there for a few years now even when it was a private home. He was always ready to chat and provide you with any local knowlegde. Afternoon tea was a real treat especially when it was accompanied with a glass of chilled Chardonay. The breakfast was a feast to the eyes and the team would accomodate any reasonable request you had. The place was undergoing a soft makeover at the time so it would be interesting to see how that turned out as it was looking quite swish as we left. Met some lovely fellow guests whilst we there such was the relaxed nature of the place. Overall we were impressed and if they addressed the couple of things we raised with them it can only get better.
My stay at Camissa House was absolutely incredible. Walking into the property feels like entering a different biome of existence. Everything is flawlessly curated and beautiful. The rooms are stunning and the living area is brilliant.
I absolutely love the staff. Every single person made me feel like part of the friend group. I always had full confidence that I can chat and ask anything I want. What a wonderful group of people.
Beautiful place, and so peaceful and relaxing. A very small hotel and everything was excellent.
Nothing - it was all lovely.
Beautiful location at foot of table mountain, outstanding service, comfortable and quiet sleep, luxury linens, wonderful food. Excellent!!!!
Truly a stunning and beautiful house. The rooms are spacious and perfectly well equipped. The service we got from all the staff including the driver is 10/10. The breakfasts were another highlight day after day.
