We accidentally booked a smoking room, but thankfully the hotel allowed us to change rooms after the first night because the smell of smoke was so strong and had settled into everything.
The second room was better but it also smelled of smoke and had very stuffy air. There are smoking rooms on every floor, so the smell of cigarettes is noticeable throughout the hotel. The smell seems to be deeply embedded in the carpets and furniture.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you’re a smoker.
However, the reception staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful!
Consegnata valigia in anticipo e poi al mio check in la valigia era già stata portata in camera. Posizione bella e comoda e vicina a zona piena di ristoranti per Okonomiyaki e Monjayaki. Camera grande per gli standard giapponesi

Great location for visiting the tsukiji market nice and early. Nice sized beds for a twin room - other hotel we stayed at in Tokyo had us in small singles and this was doubles. Friendly, accomodating staff. Great price for the views of Tokyo Bay!!
Was prepared for this as we had read other reviews, the room did smell like stale cigarettes despite booking a non-smoking room. This is a dated hotel so expected risidual smoke smells, the rooms still have traditional lock and key instead of cards - not necessarily a negative just showing that its a dated hotel.

Ginza Creston was our first hotel in Japan. The rooms are incredibly spacious by Japanese standards. The rooms are slightly old and musty and although we booked a non smoking room our room smelled of smoke. The view from our room was incredible and although old, everything worked just fine. The hotel area is all shut so it smells musty, but the rooms are okay. The reception was incredibly helpful and they assisted us with our luggage forwarding and queries.
The hotel is 800m away from the nearest station which is Tsukiji. Being located in Ginza is very convenient but it’s a solid 1-1.6km walk from the main ginza area. I would stay here again.

The river view with the city skyline was amazing; our corner room offered a striking perspective. It sat within walking distance of fine restaurants and the fish market, just over a mile from the Imperial Palace and a short walk to the Metro.
