We needed a hotel for the 'Great Run Half Marathon. The start was adjacent to the Townhouse. Perfect!
The staff were friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable.
No view in our rooms - but that wasn't what we came for, so no problem.
Meals in the bar were ok but quite pricey.
Having stayed in the Townhouse on a number of occasions, I thought I knew what to expect. Normally very comfortable and relaxing. This stay was different though, a top floor room (504) which was unfortunately not very well appointed. Lighting was quite dim, the TV was so far to the side, you couldn't watch it from the bed and the position of the shower door made it extremely difficult to get in as the door was obstructed by the toilet.
The worst part was the noise. The sound from the numerous pubs outside was booming in the room until 0030 which made it near impossible to sleep. The windows did next to nothing to block the sound.
The curtains were sort of blackout, but not enough so as dawn broke, the room was lit up and woke me extremely early.
Not ideal and out of all the times I have stayed in the Townhouse, this has to be the worst experience I've had.
Receptionist Jain was wonderful. Great value for money and comfortable stay.
Bathtub was dirty.

I had a wonderful experience with Florinda as one of the catering staff. She went the extra mile on many occasions and made sure that I felt welcome at all times.

Room was roomy but basic. No fridge which is odd. Room temperature was difficult to control, air con was ok but then a radiator blasting out hot
Excellent central location, staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Clean and comfortable rooms, Good overall value for money. Easy access to shops, restaurants, nightlife, and taxi.
My room was small and slightly dated, and occasional noise issues - close to lift -.
Due to the central location, street noise or sounds from nearby nightlife can sometimes be heard, especially my room was facing a busy area.
