Please note, the property offers valet parking only and it costs £30 per day. Guests must not park their own car unless using Clifford's car park opposite, which is run by the council. Please be aware that the Clifford's Tower is undertaking some vital conservation works to protect the tower and make improvements for visitors - this will restrict your view of the tower slightly from some of the rooms, but everything will be back to normal later this year. Sorry for the inconvenience

Location was good and staff were very helpful/friendly

Cons:

The bathrooms were not in a great state, whilst they were superficially clean there was black mould and grime all over the shower and bath. Desperate need of a renovation. My room was over reception too which was being renovated so builders deliveries at 6am disturbed sleep plus it was a little noisy from music and high heals late at night.

The location was great for dining and exploring

Cons:

The fact that it is supposed to be a Hilton and it is basically a budget room. There is no free internet, no fridge, no compendium of information about the hotel or the city of York. It is basically just a bed and bathroom.

Das Hotel war OK, mehr aber nicht.

Gute Lage, Sauberkeit und die Betten

Cons:

Teilweise sehr unmotiviertes Personal, speziell beim Frühstück. Karge Ausstattung, z.b. keine Zahnputzgläser im sehr kleinen Bad, kaum WC Papier am ersten Tag etc. Teilweise laut, da unmittelbar unter unserem Fester die Busse für die Gäste geparkt haben und diese bis zur Abfahrt längere Zeit lautstark diskutiert haben. Unser Zimmerfenster war eher Dekoration und hat den Lärm kaum gedämpft.

Good value, great location. Shame about the loud noise early in the morning.
Pros:

Excellent location and comfortable, clean and well maintained room. Lovely breakfast in the morning with a great view of Clifford's Tower. Service was excellent.

Cons:

Construction noise nearby made it somewhat difficult to get a good full sleep.

Good, but if I came to York again I’d stay somewhere else
