A charming gem in the centre of Hobart
Pros:

A very beautiful and charming hotel. It is filled with so much history that being within its walls takes you back in time to the early 1900s. Staff were amazing. They were attentive, professional and friendly. It is just a few minutes walk to Salamanca and the waterfront area as well as being in the centre of the CBD. Our second stay there and we will definitely return for a third time.

Rooms a bit small. Bedside tables tiny. Limited space for 2 suitcases. Had to call for a bag stand. To their credit it was brought straight away. That aside wonderful hotel.

Enjoyable stay in a classic hotel
Pros:

Staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast also good with a decent variety.
Enjoyed the cosy bar, and the afternoon tea package was both enjoyable and generous. We needed a doggy bag for the top cake tier, as we couldn’t finish it all.
Deducted one star, as the room is starting to look a little tired and our reverse cycle air conditioning/heat pump struggled to maintain a constant temperature and was a bit noisy. The hotel is lovely, and has been well restored.

Noisy because it’s old there is no soundproofing & surely floorboards but that is to be expected. Bad bathroom design, I wold have put the toilet where the shower taps are, the sink where the toilet is & the shower running across the opposite way on other wall & open the door out instead of in 🙂

Pros:

This hotel is in such a good location. Handy to shops, restaurants, markets and tour pick up points. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help. The live music in the bar was fabulous.

Good Location. Room very spacious, large separate bedroom with very comfortable king bed, large lounge area with large writing desk, small table, large coffee table. Good air con ( split system). Large bathroom. Staff friendly and attentive. Good value for money.

Cons:

Water pressure in the shower was poor and had some issues with TV

Yo use a famous sentence: If you can’t do it properly don’t bother!
Pros:

As a return guest since 2020 we have always loved staying at Hadley’s as the location is perfect and until the last couple of months or so Hadley’s was our favourite hotel to stay at in Hobart!

Cons:

Over the last year or so the standard of service and cleanliness has markedly deteriorated and so have the facilities as now the restaurant is permanently closed … it has now a depressing ambiance and not living up to its elegance and heritage status that was known for!
