The strong perfume smell when you walked into the lobby, the smell was way too much for a sensitive person.

Pros:

The staff were absolutely wonderful at this central, spacious and comfortable hotel. The bed was like a cloud and the shower head was perfect. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the location is amazing.

Cons:

Nothing. They clearly state rooms are accessed by stairs and perhaps after a later night that was a little tiring but absolutely expected and understandable.

Hadleys is always good. The bar is great & the breakfast excellent. No street noise, friendlt staff.

Cons:

Rooms are a bit dark.
Lift out of action (we were on 3rd floor).

Great place, ideal location - middle of town, short walk to Constitution Dock etc..
Pros:

It's worth staying in this hotel if you enjoy historical connections with Hobart's earlier times. The staff were great and the room very comfortable (NB bathroom was a step or two up from bedroom). Take time out to wander a bit and ask staff about some of the history. Parking (off-site) a bit tricky for first run or two, then fine.
