Enjoyable stay at Hotel Granvia and would definitely recommend it to other travellers.
Pros:

The location at Kyoto Station is perfect for travelling.
The rooms are of a good size.

Cons:

It can be a bit confusing to locate the hotel to begin with if you arrive by train because of the different levels of the station.
The Netflix would no work for us

Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok.
Pros:

Die Unterkunft sah insgesamt schön aus und war geräumig. Das Hotel ist direkt am Bahnhof, was sehr praktisch ist.

Cons:

Es roch etwas schmuddelig und sah im Bad auch etwas schmuddelig aus. Die Angestellten konnten nicht wirklich gut Englisch. Ich finde, das müssten sie können bei einem Hotel mit so vielen Sternen. Auch ist es etwas mühsam, dass Personen mit Tattoos den Pool nicht nutzen können. Ich verstehe das zwar bei kleineren Hotels oder Hotels, die hauptsächlich für Einheimische sind, aber bei solch einem grossen Hotel, das viele Touristen als Besucher hat, sollte man etwas offener sein.

Lovely hotel and location , extra charges unreasonable
Pros:

The location was incredible, the rooms very spacious

Cons:

Having to pay 1100 yen to have a swim in the hotel pool.
Also when I discovered we were in a smoking room the day before arrival I asked to be in non smoking as I am severely asthmatic , they charged us another 33600 yen to give us a non smoking room, which we had no choice but to pay as we were on our way to Kyoto. Very unreasonable.

First time visitors to Kyoto and staying at Hotel Granvia made getting around so easy.
Pros:

Location is the key, right on top of the train station and the bus terminal is right outside. Trains and busses are the best way to get around Kyoto so Hotel Granvia is in the perfect location.

Cons:

There is nothing that we didn't like about the hotel or our stay.
