Easy access clean quiet location
Location
Staff and service
Poorly designed hotel rooms with no towel racks or hooks . We were hanging out towels on doors . No tissue boxes & not even a cup in the bathroom . Sagging mattresses & nylon sheets topped it off - oh & there are no elevators so we dragged our luggage up 3 flights of stairs . We checked out 3 rooms & changed rooms once ( our first room had a toilet in the sleeping area ) so this is an educated review !

Great spot, we love staying here!
This was a spur of the moment booking and a great unexpected find in Rochester. It's a very unique place. I LOVE that the old school building was repurposed and LOVE what and how it was done. Great out-of-the-ordinary place to stay.
It was a wee bit pricy but worth the night away.
Great location and such a unique space and experience. I would stay here again
I can’t say there is anything I didn’t like
Cool concept, interesting space, good potential. Nice touch with water, coffee, and biscuits. Would have been good to have a brief guide in the room for local places. Found a cute restaurant a block away. Nice view of the museum across the street.
Heat was blasting (had to counter with air conditioning, which wasn't a huge deal, I get it. It's a rehabbed industrial building). I went to take a shower before leaving, and the drain spout leaked all over the floor to over an inch of water. I couldn't shower and had to mop up the floor for an hour. Called and texted for help, no answer and no response or text back. Not even a call after to say they were sorry. Extremely disappointing.
Unique and funky setting perfect for experiencing Rochester downtown
good location in arts district
interesting adaptive use
great theatrical props around building
night light in bathroom
box of tissues
more better hot water
Locatie
First of all, I can't really rate the staff because it's an apartment hotel and we didn't have contact with any staff. This is a unique opportunity to stay in a refurbished school house. Wonderful large apartment in a great neighborhood next to museums and restaurants. The apartments are all a bit different but the charm is there throughout the building. They are modern without talking away the history. Huge bathroom and comfy beds.
Really just tiny things that certainly don't make or break the stay, but a few simple things that could make this place even better. They didn't charge our card until the day of so I wasn't sure that our reservation had gone through. I was driving yes driving when they sent the information to complete the reservation. People are traveling the day of, so not the best idea. Yes, it's fine to send the codes to get into the building last minute. We had a nice kitchen but with very little to work with. No sharp knives, no spatula, and two enormous pans, no toaster. I didn't want to cook anything big, but it would be great to cook some eggs and make toast. Full size stove, no pot holders. Just add some simple things. There are no extra blankets or pillows. In the bathroom it would be helpful to either give more soap or put dispensers in the shower and a hook by the shower to hang a towel. The place is really special and we have stayed several times. These small things would make it even better.
Space and cleanliness
I liked everything. Microwave would be nice and I had to get use to the self check in. Overall excellent experience!
