Need better pillows
I don't recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with pets.
My experience was disappointing. At check-in, the staff never mentioned the pet agreement or asked me to sign it. The next day, I received a call from Austin asking me to return and sign the paperwork, which should have been handled during check-in.
If the pet agreement is required, it should be presented when guests arrive not after they've already checked in. The process was inconvenient and did not make the hotel feel pet-friendly.
Staff were helpful and close waking distance to restaurants and shops.
The balcony was nice, but the street noise was very loud in the morning.
We loved the location and amenities available!
Friendly staff, great location and the pool was awesome on a hot day!!
No complaints
The location is excellent.
The valet parking was so easy. The hotel offered fresh lemon water and cool towels in the lobby. It was in the 90’s during our stay. So the cool towels were a treat.
The best thing about his hotel was the cleanliness, a great atmosphere, and the staff. Everyone was super friendly and to me that made the experience for me. It was in a good location- close to the main strip but not too close. If I am ever in Charleston again I would go again. It was pretty quiet but that may be because there wasn't a major event. The rooms were standard but very nicely decorated.
Location and some of the staff.
Overpriced parking (`$50/night), valet drivers that cannot operate a manual transmission, outdated rooms that are overpriced.
Location
It was noisy. There was no free coffee. The coffee in my room was not restocked one morning. I had two broken glasses in my room. Something was left in the fridge from a previous occupant.
Location, room size
Noisy from outside sirens, etc
No coffee in room
Had a great experience at the hotel. Epically with the valets. Pierce, Jack and Colin took excellent care of me.
We got a last minute reservation here after our original lodging didn't work out.
The nice thing about staying at a Marriott property is that they are normally good. This one didn't disappoint. It is located in the Historical District of Charleston, so it's easily walkable to many attractions and tours.
The room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
We could hear the people in the hallway when we were in our room.
There were decent amenities at this hotel... pool, gym, Starbucks, bar (served minimal food options)
The elevators were really slow especially in the morning when the housekeeping team was going from floor to floor with their carts.
The reception workers were very friendly & helpful.
Enjoyed the stay. The staff was very helpful & friendly.
Out of ice on my floor.
I disliked this hotel for many reasons but the main one is its frequent fire alarms. I stayed there for 3 nights from Sunday evening to Wednesday morning. During that time the fire Alarm went off twice, one cat 2 am in the morning on Monday and once at 9:00 am in the morning on Wednesday. Neither of these incidents ended up being an emergency so it was just very annoying and kind of scary to be woken up by a blaring alarm.
