Great location and very friendly staff. Special shoutout to Victor for moving all our luggage to a new room after we unexpectedly had to extend our stay due to illness. Victor is great!
Location is good, close to main museum and restaurants.
The room is quite old, the bathroom is too small and very inconvenient to use, and the refrigerator barely cools. The room's sound insulation is poor — you can hear guests moving around in the corridor.
Nada
Our stay at Catalonia Hotels & Resorts was excellent. Special thanks to Miko at the reception for being so nice, welcoming, and accommodating. Your hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable
Bra beliggenhet
We arrived at around 10 am and were greeted by an enthusiastic young man called Victor, he insisted on carrying our bags which was great. Not all the rooms were quite ready but luckily ours was so we and our friends were able to drop our bags and set out to explore. There was a lot to see within walking distance from our accommodation. That night we had dinner in Joost the meals were delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating but our stand out staff member was definitely Victor he bent over backwards to help was always friendly 10/10 Victor 👏👏
the location was great and very central to bars and restaurants, the staff were excellent. We got a complementary update on arrival and we had a very comfortable stay
Neat and clean accomodation. Check in was good (free glass of fizz) and lovely man who took the bags up was really positive. Hotel is quiet and away from noisy crowds and traffic.
Bath to shower converter had to be pulled just right to make it work.
The one redeeming thing about this hotel is that it is a 15 minute walk from the main museums. But there are other hotels just as close to the museums in the surrounding neighborhood which must be better.
This was the next to worst hotel experience in more than 20 years of travel to Europe. And it was outrageously expensive. When I arrived I was assigned a room on the ground floor down a narrow hall with some steps and level changes. I was surprised at the chipped paint on the doorways and stair railings. There was torn carpeting on the stairs and carpet stains. The wall had a large dirty smear. Then I got to my room. I went into the bathroom and the sink was disgustingly stained and damaged. The furniture was chipped and scratched. The wardrobe was a cheap assemble-at-home variety and it had stains on the doors and by the handles. My room was called an "Executive Double Room". I ask the management to go to that room and find one or two things that would make someone consider it fit for an executive. What was it that made you designate it "Executive"? It was shabby and worn. The furnishings were cheap and overdue for replacement. The hotel is in old buildings. There is an elevator but there are also very steep stairs with shallow treads. I would not want to be in this hotel in a fire. It seems like someone would be able to find time to at least touch up the chipped paint in the doorways. My room was well cleaned but it was just worn, dilapidated, stained, and depressing. Then there was the view out the window which was dominated by a dirty metal shed roof against the building. Maybe there are better rooms in this hotel, but I can only rate what I was given.
