We have no parking on site. Nearby parking is available at St James Quarter car park (postcode EH1 3BP), who offer our guests a discounted daily rate of £17 for 24h. Simply collect you parking ticket on entry, but please ensure to also collect your discount ticket from reception upon departure. Alternatively on street parking is available (restrictions and pricing vary).
When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.
The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our Seasonal A’ la Carte menu and a side dish. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available.
Please note extra beds and cots must be confirmed with the hotel prior to arrival, customers will be required to settle children's extra bed charges (£30 per night) directly with the hotel.
For easy access from Edinburgh Airport, our Edinburgh tram service will run you right to our front door, and available every 7 minutes! The service will take just 36 minutes in total and run conveniently every day from 06:00 am to midnight, 7 days a week. https://edinburghtrams.com/

The rooms are a bit dark and difficult to see in the dim light.
The hotel is located a couple of blocks from downtown, it is a nice walk to the Old Town. Nice hotel, large room and bathroom, very clean and quiet.

It was amazing, we stayed a day aft3r our wedding & they left us a bottle of prosecco in our room which was a nice touch. We booked a suite & it was fantastic.

Heavy dark grey so badly lit you would never have found the elephant in the room.
Elevator arrangements poor. Room dark. Confusion about breakfast, Booking.com confirmation indicated breakfast, hotel did not honor.
We went for afternoon tea and it was such a tranquil and beautiful place to stop and have some quiet time away from the city buzz. Mac & Marcel were the most attentive waiters and are a credit to your organisation. Thank you for looking after us so well.
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at Malmaison Edinburgh City. It's a beautiful, luxurious haven tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Mac and Marcel made us feel so welcome with their friendly, attentive service—they were both absolutely lovely. A wonderful experience and somewhere we'd happily return.
Everyone has a different approach to breakfast. Mine is a healthy one and Malmaison provides bowl upon bowl of delicious fruit and seeds, along with tasty yogurts to satisfy the nut-picky of them all. Your choice of cooked dishes would satisfy those who require a more substantial start to their day....delicious.
