Absolutely everything. I feel like it’s a second home. When I go to St Augustine the time I go depends on if I can get a reservation at Casablanca
The fact that I eventually have to go back home 😥
It was HOOOOTTTTT so that made everything miserable. If I pay 300.00 a night, I expect to be at least comfortable. We left at 3:00 am our car was cooler than the room.

The wife and I needed to get out of town. We love St. Augustine. As I was trying to make reservations, I somehow got sent to a third party that claimed I was at the right place. I went ahead and booked and I notice the price was different. They said the room I was looking at was now rented.
I was finally able to contact the Casablanca and was greeted by "Sheridan". She was so helpful and was able to book the original room and made sure that the third party would not be able to cancel it.
We arrived and I met "Sheridan" in person. She got us situated and gave me directions to the free parking lot. I returned and told her, "I so hope I am in the right parking lot" Sheridan said she was not busy and she would walk with me to make sure. I was in the wrong lot and she got me parked in the right location.
Everything was great, but "Sheridan" did an outstanding job during our stay.
Just wandering looking for breakfast. Try not eating at chains whether actual restaurants or hotels. We had popped into the Tiny Martini bar previously and this is the same physical location. Diverse menu with many options. Great coffee. Fast attentive service and a fair price to boot. What’s not to love?
If you are in the area and hungry I say why not try something out of your usual comfort zone?
My wife booked a room #7 for our anniversary. We arrived in town and went to the inn and asked if we could park in the lot we were told no not until 1Pm as the policy has changed. Now the guest leaving gets to park until 1pm. The inn keeper said it was in the confirmation email upon checking it was in there. We got into the room and was unpacking when I dropped some water on the floor, I cleaned it up and the tissue I used was black very bad. I went to the inn keeper and showed her how bad it was, she sent a cleaning crew up and they used a swiffer jet to clean the floor it didn’t help much. There was a window unit A/C and would not cool down the bathroom area, was told by the cleaning crew the there was a fan in the closet to push the air to the bathroom, the bathroom stayed warm. The room came with a private balcony which I found old screws sitting on one of the pillars, there was stepping stones on the balcony by the outdoor furniture I don’t know why! There were missing spindles part of the porch railing which was very low. There was a lot of rotted wood. The description of the room on the website stated that there was a writing desk. It was not in the room. We paid $897.76 for 2 nights, would have expected more than what we got.
We have been to the Casablanca inn several times and by far this was the worse.
Location and drinks
Really Run down.. rooms smell musty.. kitchen staff smoking outside of room ..
Absolutely LOVED our stay!!! Great staff, location and old world feel! Great food, cocktails and value
If you find yourself in St. Augustine and are looking for a place to stay, look no further than Casablanca Inn On the Bay!
We stayed at the Casablanca Inn On the Bay last week for our 25th anniversary and it did not disappoint! The food for breakfast was delicious (vouchers for breakfast every day we were there) and Tini’s Martini bar (a free martini for each of us every day we stayed) was amazing! Although the food and martinis were fantastic it was the amazing staff that made the stay so memorable. The wait staff was great (especially Edward), the concierge, Tia, was beyond helpful from what to see, where to eat, to offering us another room when we decided to stay an extra night since our current room was already booked (because we were having such a great time) and making the process so easy (which we now have a favorite room that has a front porch on the second floor where we can watch the sunrise over the bay) and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room for our anniversary! And don’t even get me started on the bar staff at the martini bar, especially Sheridan. She, along with all the other bartenders (Eric, Joe and all the others) were amazing and we met the nicest people every night we were there.
If you want the ultimate place to stay in St. Augustine, look no further than Casablanca Inn!
It's such a cool place with a vintage feel and modern touches. I loved the balcony and walking proximity to all the shops, restaurants, and bars.
Being attached to the Tini Martini Bar was fun and convenient. The staff was wonderful.
Though I can understand why, there's no fridge or microwave. So eat your leftovers fast!
Pulling into and out of the driveway to check in was stressful with all the people walking by.
Location and the friendliness of everyone!
Nothing!
The room had comfortable furniture and a lovely balcony
There was a steep long outdoor staircase to get to our room. Also there was a lot of noise from local bars at night
We’ve stayed here many times and love the quirky ambiance. However the place really needs some TLC, especially a good cleaning. (They are under going renovations in some areas so there was a lot of noise outside our room) Beds weren’t very comfortable and creaked so much with every little movement we thought we might end up on the floor. Window shaker a/c is very loud.
Staff is always friendly for the most part. Housekeeping is hit or miss. Some days they replenish supplies, sometimes didn’t.
Breakfasts were super. Evening martini bar also very good.
One troubling thing we witnessed was one of the waiters multitasking between planting petunias in flower boxes with bare hands, wiping them on his apron, and then waiting tables- no handwashing between.
We recommended them recently but I feel like we need to offer a couple warnings to our friends.
Apple martinis were good.
There were big ants in our room.
The staff were friendly and helpful, everyone from the server, reception, cleaning staff were approachable, helpful and friendly. There was even a hotel cat who was very sweet. The bed was very comfortable, the room layout was great as we were travelling with our adult disabled daughter so it gave her privacy she needs. The outside of the cottage was an added bonus. Definitely would stay again
Nothing. There was a distance between the hotel and the cottage which was confusing at first but when we got our bearings it was excellent and a great idea. Breakfast was lovely as well.
Breakfast was delicious & very friendly staff.
Everything was wonderful. A great memory for my family during the holidays.
Breakfast was fabulous and the location was right in the middle of everything! The drink tickets to the Tini Martini Bar were a plus as well as the free parking. We will stay here again soon!
Nothing
LOVE how we could park once and walk around….
